[00:03] Jack we're live so we are live it has

[00:07] been several months since the last time

[00:09] we did this so hopefully you are ready

[00:11] for a several hour live stream where we

[00:13] do our best to answer all of your

[00:16] questions and a gentleman named Zach

[00:17] Peterson has already jumped the gun but

[00:20] before we answer his questions and many

[00:23] more we should talk about oh I don't

[00:25] know why are we talking about anything

[00:26] we should be saying hello to people and

[00:28] making sure that they can hear us first

[00:30] right that is a good call

[00:32] can you guys hear us

[00:39] oh and we have a lovely moderator named

[00:42] chin face who is helping us out chin

[00:45] face can you message me and let me know

[00:48] if you can hear us

[00:54] about you Mark can they hear you today's

[00:56] sponsor is Kirkland organic fruit and

[00:59] vegetable pouches we're supporting the

[01:01] apple and strawberry spinach uh sector

[01:04] there's a lot of farmers out there that

[01:06] are not getting a lot of money for

[01:07] spinach so if you buy two cans today

[01:10] well actually at Kirkland or Costco you

[01:13] can only buy 700 cans when you eat all

[01:15] that spinach I'm gonna donate point zero

[01:18] zero zero seven cents to Jack's favorite

[01:21] charity his Corvette fund oh perfect for

[01:24] new tires he'll get a new set of tires

[01:26] in about 20 years for that thing okay so

[01:30] it sounds like most of you can hear us

[01:34] loud and clear chin I am waiting oh yes

[01:38] I had I do have a fifth grader lunch by

[01:41] the way somebody said that looks like

[01:42] I'm eating like a fifth grader uh you

[01:44] absolutely do my mom made me this

[01:46] beforehand I I got out of the basement

[01:48] today just for about five minutes to do

[01:50] this I had to sweep the chimney first

[01:52] and get get her uh old rugs cleaned so

[01:55] I've just spent 12 hours of this [ __ ]

[01:58] driving back and forth from Detroit all

[02:00] this guy wanted to do every couple hours

[02:02] with poor chin face in the car was stop

[02:04] and get Scoops he's like Jack I can't

[02:06] believe you made me drive all this way

[02:07] can we get Scoops that was with three

[02:10] days in a row literally this man eats

[02:13] this guy he's a small child well I

[02:16] didn't want to go because I had so much

[02:18] stuff to do and Jack's Jack pulled out

[02:20] every stop like every time I said no

[02:23] he's like oh but I did this and this I'm

[02:25] like yeah but I can't do this and then

[02:27] it's like oh I did did this and this I'm

[02:29] like no I still got to do this and then

[02:31] he's like I I made the Sun the moon and

[02:34] stars revolve around you and I couldn't

[02:36] say no and then I wound up going and

[02:38] then every

[02:40] ounce of energy you stole out of me I

[02:42] had to replenish it back with a hot

[02:43] fudge sundae a strawberry shake uh and

[02:47] I'm not supposed to eat dairy so it was

[02:49] I would I could literally feel the water

[02:51] pressure in my hotel from four floors

[02:53] down change yeah the guy I I woke up at

[02:57] three in the morning and uh I had some

[03:00] stomach problems and the guy next door I

[03:03] could hear in the hotel room he's like

[03:04] oh my God what is that smell well

[03:10] anyway so that's uh we're just warming

[03:13] up here so that's that's what's been

[03:15] going on with us let's get some other

[03:16] housekeeping done we have done many

[03:18] projects we have a Integra Type S

[03:22] docufilm potentially coming out on

[03:24] Monday by some luck luckiness maybe Mark

[03:27] and edit all together tomorrow he's been

[03:29] working on it for the last week we got

[03:31] back from Japan a couple weeks ago where

[03:33] we finally more or less wrapped up the

[03:36] shooting element of our NSX docufilm so

[03:39] many of you guys have been waiting on

[03:42] that video and it will take about five

[03:44] years to edit together five hours of

[03:46] people speaking Japanese and mind you we

[03:48] don't speak Japanese so it's gonna have

[03:50] to get translated out and then subtitled

[03:53] and all that other fun stuff so that'll

[03:54] be

[03:56] um interesting oh it's going to be

[03:58] interesting I'm going to lock the door

[03:59] just in case my mom brings me oh dessert

[04:01] perfect you can't let her do that and

[04:02] she's gonna bring you a bucket as well

[04:03] yeah she's gonna bring me a diaper and a

[04:06] banana split what else have we done we

[04:08] we finally did our Z06 GT3 film we did

[04:12] the five-way comparison with Carlos laga

[04:14] which was uh hopefully you guys have

[04:16] seen that video it's right up your alley

[04:17] it's got all the hot hatches that are

[04:20] not all four cylinders despite what I

[04:22] say in the intro yeah this guy said the

[04:24] wrong thing like three times or four

[04:25] times in the video cylinders and then he

[04:28] actually did call him five cylinders I

[04:30] don't know where that came from he's

[04:32] just confused yeah I I have to add

[04:35] cylinders like I add inches in height

[04:37] well let me put this banner up here just

[04:39] so

[04:42] uh speaking of testosterone we are

[04:44] planning on shooting a e-ray video like

[04:47] we did for the original Z06 film and our

[04:49] M2 M2 Supra video

[04:52] uh is out and we've been working on a

[04:55] dark horse docufilm as well so we have

[04:57] quite a few projects in the background

[04:59] for you guys and we're about to do our

[05:01] first ever uh Lamborghini film we have

[05:04] an sto that's being shipped out to us

[05:06] and Lamborghini is going to have us do

[05:07] an engineering piece on that video kind

[05:09] of celebrating the end we're not

[05:10] celebrating sort of bemoaning the end of

[05:12] the V10

[05:14] and sort of talking about their future

[05:16] products for the three people on planet

[05:18] Earth who can actually afford a

[05:20] Lamborghini but how much is that car I

[05:22] think it starts in the low 300s and

[05:24] really the point of it for us is because

[05:27] that's what I'm going to be able to

[05:28] afford oh yeah just you know you're

[05:30] sitting on a gold mine so your organs

[05:31] I'll be closer to being negative 300 000

[05:34] for 300 000. but really I mean you get

[05:37] to see how a Lamborghini is engineered

[05:40] and most of the time in the past no one

[05:42] has talked about the technical

[05:44] attributes of that vehicle is just like

[05:45] look at me and my Instagram models there

[05:48] are you know there's actual engineering

[05:50] already that goes into those cars and

[05:52] it's sad that no one talks about it so

[05:53] hopefully we get to talk about a little

[05:55] bit of it yeah so it's the hardcore

[05:57] viewers that are appreciated I think

[05:58] that's that's what it'll come off as I

[06:00] have my severe doubts that anybody's

[06:04] really gonna watch that video just

[06:05] because I do feel like that space has

[06:07] been dominated by a whole different

[06:09] subset of Internet creators uh who do

[06:13] mostly street racing and whatever what

[06:16] else do internet creators do with

[06:18] Lamborghinis Jack crash them jump them

[06:20] over things because of one guy who jumps

[06:21] them all that's cool yeah it should be

[06:25] yeah we I don't know as we as we sort of

[06:29] see what we can accomplish while we have

[06:31] good weather hopefully these will become

[06:33] some unique and interesting projects

[06:35] things we finished what else did we do

[06:37] Mark let's talk about let's let's talk

[06:39] about the big ones right I mean I know

[06:40] you brought it up already

[06:42] um before we get into this question and

[06:45] answer Zone that goes on for quite a

[06:46] while

[06:47] um

[06:48] the Integra video also has some special

[06:53] stuff in it which I guess it is pretty

[06:56] cool we got to film them get built uh we

[06:59] shut down a track Audubon Country Club

[07:00] continues to be a valuable asset for us

[07:02] so we we put them out on track and we

[07:05] downloaded as well so I'm pretty sure

[07:06] we're the only Outlet to track or dyno

[07:09] and so yeah this this one's interesting

[07:10] because yeah we did the we did the

[07:12] factory again so we to your point the

[07:15] track part but that's also it's got some

[07:16] really interesting data in there about

[07:18] what's different about the car like real

[07:21] data to show like how it's different

[07:23] um the dyno numbers are clearly

[07:25] interesting and then of course uh the

[07:27] other part is we did audio testing on it

[07:29] we did decibel testing on the interior

[07:31] to see like is it actually quieter so

[07:34] there's a lot of stuff in there along

[07:35] with trying to talk to Acura about what

[07:37] they were trying to do with the car uh

[07:39] for real like what they were trying to

[07:40] do and I think they did a great

[07:41] explanation of what it is and what it's

[07:43] not

[07:44] um I'm excited about because it's really

[07:46] it's what I set out to do when we start

[07:48] when I started this I wanted to take a

[07:51] new car have manufacturers help us

[07:53] explain what they're doing so we then

[07:55] can learn about it and then explain it

[07:58] back without being marketing and that's

[08:00] what I really love and I love to see the

[08:02] start to finish the manufacturing the

[08:03] assembly process I mean it's just so

[08:05] cool and then to be able to have the

[08:08] skill set now to understand what the

[08:10] hell is going on behind the scenes

[08:11] mechanically with the car and to get

[08:13] into all those details it's just it's so

[08:15] much fun it's just there's never enough

[08:16] time to do this stuff it's that's the

[08:19] biggest problem there you can't just

[08:20] spend endless times on time on this one

[08:22] thing but I'm really looking forward to

[08:25] that one and I know the Japan trip you

[08:26] mentioned that

[08:28] um do you want to talk a little bit more

[08:29] about that Jack because that's that's

[08:31] kind of a big deal too so the NSX

[08:34] project something we've teased for

[08:35] almost a year at this point those who

[08:37] have been following the channel or any

[08:39] of our Instagram accounts we started

[08:41] this project nine months ago Acura was

[08:44] kind enough to ship us a gen 1 and a sax

[08:49] and a NSX Type S as they were killing

[08:51] off the car

[08:52] and initially uh this is something that

[08:54] we'd pitched several times in the past

[08:56] and after just a lot of going back and

[08:57] forth with them and trying to figure out

[08:59] how to make a project work for both of

[09:01] us they finally agreed to it and then we

[09:03] got some of the American side of Honda

[09:06] involved in the MSX project we had John

[09:08] Ikeda John Rivers he did product

[09:10] planning he's also an Integrity type

[09:12] best video Peter Cunningham the only

[09:13] American to race one in Era on a factory

[09:16] supported team John vasos who is a

[09:20] mechanic who built a shop and basically

[09:21] dedicated his life to these cars but

[09:23] after interviewing all these people

[09:24] getting the cars we realized pretty

[09:27] quickly that this is a Japanese story

[09:29] not an American story well we appreciate

[09:31] the car and what it has to offer all

[09:34] these guys who worked on it none of them

[09:36] were here right all we did was resell

[09:37] them in this market and race them yeah

[09:39] so after going back and forth with Japan

[09:42] and Honda North America and realizing

[09:44] that some of the people working on this

[09:45] are quite elderly

[09:47] you know sort of a Time imperative as

[09:49] well you know you want to be able to

[09:51] tell the story from these people's

[09:52] mouths before they're either too old or

[09:55] physically unable to tell the story so

[09:57] after going back and forth for eight

[09:59] months we finally got all the key team

[10:02] members involved uhara-san the chief

[10:05] engineer we put him on camera he

[10:06] answered our questions uh who made a son

[10:09] who kind of organized this all from the

[10:11] Japanese PR side of things uh

[10:13] tsukumotasan watasan a couple other

[10:16] gentlemen everyone from the aluminum

[10:18] Body Works to the chassis Engineers who

[10:20] worked on every iteration of the NSX

[10:22] including the type RS are all on camera

[10:25] for us to interview and tell the story

[10:27] we got to go to the Honda Museum where

[10:29] they gave us free access

[10:31] yeah we I mean I got to climb around

[10:33] Earth and Santa's McLaren which sure it

[10:36] has nothing to do with the NSA story but

[10:38] arathon does have something to do with

[10:40] the NSX story so we we've really tried

[10:42] to put something together that you know

[10:44] after you and I are no longer doing this

[10:45] and God knows how many years someone can

[10:47] go back and watch what we're hoping is

[10:49] going to be the definitive NSX video if

[10:51] you want to learn about what the car is

[10:54] today and from the people who designed

[10:55] it almost 30 years later yeah it's uh

[10:58] this was again like when we talk about

[11:00] or you know we start talking about the

[11:02] things that you want to accomplish doing

[11:03] this and obviously this is quite

[11:05] self-serious right now I apologize that

[11:07] there's not a lot of comedy in this

[11:09] story but the

[11:11] when we started doing it I'm like I want

[11:14] to do an NSX video because people are

[11:16] like okay you've done these other ones

[11:17] why don't you do this and it was strange

[11:19] to get to a place where you realize

[11:21] there is no story without the real

[11:23] people that did it did the work because

[11:24] this is what happens all the time you

[11:26] never really talk to the people that did

[11:28] the physical work and all the hard work

[11:29] on the back end and I'm like I couldn't

[11:31] I didn't want to finish the video unless

[11:33] I had that part and the naivety of doing

[11:36] it this way of not really understanding

[11:39] what that meant was the only reason we

[11:41] got to this point because if I would

[11:42] have known what in all of this how it

[11:44] would have played out in the amount of

[11:45] time that it's taken I would have

[11:47] probably never done it but to be able to

[11:49] have had them be on camera like you

[11:52] mentioned and to be able to tell their

[11:54] story granted it's all in Japanese so

[11:55] there's a huge language barrier and

[11:57] translation issue that's going to have

[11:59] to go into to making it work you know

[12:00] you have four hours of interviews that

[12:04] are all in Japanese and I don't speak

[12:06] Japanese I can barely speak three words

[12:08] because I'm American and uh we only know

[12:11] English but to have that translated back

[12:14] for a video that's cohesive for a viewer

[12:16] to understand and then getting all the

[12:18] technical stuff that we didn't know

[12:19] existed that was the best part

[12:21] uh UE horoson wrote a book that he spent

[12:24] 20 years writing about the technical

[12:26] stuff with S2000 and the NSX that really

[12:29] nobody knew about even the closest

[12:31] people to him so we find this out when

[12:33] it's there it's all in Japanese we have

[12:35] him sign the book and then later we're

[12:37] like hey did you write this thing yeah

[12:38] we had him sign a book and he like I had

[12:40] no idea this book was even his so that

[12:43] that's really what we walked into and in

[12:45] some of it's Japanese culture right

[12:46] they're not self-congratulatory they're

[12:49] not people that will unlike you yeah I'm

[12:52] always out my front yard with my shirt

[12:54] off like just just flexing at everybody

[12:56] that walks by but that that's that's

[12:58] exactly it we didn't know what we were

[13:00] walking into and I don't think that they

[13:01] particularly knew what we were walking

[13:03] into and it's just it's crazy how it's

[13:05] all turned out and if I get through this

[13:07] and the video ends up being good I will

[13:09] be very very happy it's one of those

[13:11] things

[13:12] um you can retire your jersey finally

[13:14] yeah I can hang up my my number zero

[13:17] jersey for zero wins up in the rafters

[13:19] and it'll get uh bird crap on it but

[13:22] yeah I was I'm really I hope this turns

[13:24] out well and it's one of the things I'll

[13:26] look back on and if I could accomplish

[13:28] this I did what I set out to do when I

[13:30] started this and there's I mean there's

[13:32] all other things to do clearly but that

[13:34] was one of the things for me that was

[13:35] super important I think really the next

[13:37] step for us is to be a part of a

[13:39] development process for your car earlier

[13:41] on and get to show people in a

[13:44] non-marketing BS way how something is

[13:46] developed the trials and tribulations

[13:48] from an oem because something that a lot

[13:51] of the engineers tell us all the time is

[13:53] that there's a huge disconnect from

[13:54] people who love cars and people who

[13:56] design cars and a lot of people who are

[13:59] fanboys of cars or like certain models

[14:01] don't fully appreciate how goddamn long

[14:04] it takes to engineer a product I mean we

[14:07] we sort of touched on it in our C8 video

[14:09] and we've touched on it now in our

[14:12] upcoming Mustang video but it takes

[14:14] years of unbelievable amount of hours to

[14:18] put something together it's not only

[14:19] just designing the cards going back and

[14:21] forth with you know thousands of people

[14:24] on a team suppliers the government

[14:26] manufacturing not only you have to

[14:28] design something you have to be able to

[14:29] build it and you have to deal with the

[14:31] unions who build these cars and training

[14:33] you know hourly employees to assemble

[14:36] these things I mean it is vastly

[14:38] complicated and I don't think people

[14:39] fully appreciate it and how would they

[14:42] without doing it themselves or at least

[14:43] being able to visualize it and see it

[14:45] for themselves let's be honest I don't

[14:46] think I appreciated it until this last

[14:49] year to be honest getting inside and

[14:52] talking to some of the people that are

[14:54] actually doing the work and then seeing

[14:56] the difficulties of their job even you

[14:58] know off the Record stuff you hear

[15:00] stories from the people that are leading

[15:02] projects and just it's their corporate

[15:04] jobs right like you're one person in a

[15:07] large team and the bigger than

[15:08] organization the more red tape and when

[15:10] you get these bigger vehicles that

[15:12] management and then upper management has

[15:14] to have their fingerprint on everything

[15:16] and then the budgets right like the

[15:19] budget part is is hilarious to me when

[15:21] we've seen cars where there was no

[15:23] budget like the Z06 had almost no budget

[15:26] like they just had a a blank check and

[15:28] that's why the guys are so excited like

[15:30] what you saw and you said like look at

[15:32] no budget is they had no money they had

[15:33] unlimited no yeah that's what yeah

[15:35] that's what I mean like a blank check so

[15:37] they could do whatever they want and

[15:37] that's why when you saw the engineers on

[15:39] camera they're like they're they're

[15:41] oozing everything they wanted to do they

[15:44] finally didn't have somebody breathing

[15:46] down their neck they got off the leash

[15:47] and then you you see other projects

[15:49] where you're like well why is this so

[15:52] it's because we had five dollars yeah

[15:55] like we literally had to pull it out of

[15:56] here to put a big screen in the car and

[15:58] that was the priority and that took most

[15:59] of the development budget for this part

[16:01] and it's seeing this on the back end and

[16:04] understanding where the money is going

[16:06] um you know in in in seeing like

[16:09] production numbers two was another

[16:10] interesting part of the Enthusiast cars

[16:12] like I was editing the Integra video

[16:14] today and I was going through all the

[16:16] Japan Chinese stuff because there's more

[16:18] St obviously on a Japanese car

[16:21] you would think we would have all the

[16:22] information but we never do but the

[16:24] Japanese clearly said for fl5 Type R

[16:27] their goal is to make no more than 400 a

[16:29] month period that was their production

[16:31] limit was 400 a month and nobody really

[16:33] ever talked about that but then you see

[16:36] that and you go to some of these other

[16:37] esoteric cars or like specialty cars

[16:39] it's the same thing for GR Corolla they

[16:41] have a hard cap they don't even care if

[16:42] they make more than that it's not about

[16:44] building a lot so it's funny that we see

[16:46] it on expensive cars that have become so

[16:48] limited or serialized and now we're

[16:50] seeing it on the budget like cars that

[16:53] in my mind I'm still not wrapping my

[16:55] head around like how the hell is like an

[16:57] Integra like a specialty car now or a

[16:59] Civic or you know like a Mustang even

[17:03] um it's it's really strange place to be

[17:05] in the automotive world and somebody I

[17:06] saw a comment here does Mark even love

[17:08] cars anymore like cars anymore and I'm

[17:10] like I do my perspective is just

[17:13] completely shifted on them though it's

[17:15] not like how it used to be for me oh so

[17:16] Jacob and Yuri the straight pipe says

[17:18] well I talk about my Corvette and of

[17:20] course 24 seven yeah I'm surprised uh

[17:23] actually let me hear uh Jacob can you

[17:25] talk about your Z06 too and your your

[17:27] Fox body should you do that all right we

[17:29] put the banner up go ahead all right

[17:31] well you know why don't you put your

[17:32] update about your Corvette so we can get

[17:34] it out of the way you know it's it's

[17:35] never seen rain I only take it to

[17:37] nursing homes and I win and I get to

[17:39] yell at Applebee's waitresses when I

[17:41] pull my Z06 and I demand that they valet

[17:43] park my car can you fit a lawn chair in

[17:46] that thing uh yeah of course dude I I

[17:48] can either fit my T-top or my lawn chair

[17:50] in the truck what about both

[17:52] I can't well you know

[17:54] I I pull a Corvette trailer with my ZO6

[17:57] oh really yeah it's just incredible so

[18:00] why don't you tell them about the real

[18:01] story about your ZO6 because you had

[18:02] some drama with that recently yes so

[18:05] um in a moment of seriousness the the

[18:07] problem with Corvettes is anyone who

[18:10] owns a GM product knows is that GM

[18:13] dealers are not always the most capable

[18:15] and servicing said uh uh GM product as

[18:19] you've probably seen on other uh from

[18:21] other YouTubers who've owned z06s or own

[18:24] them a lot of dealers can't deal with

[18:26] their wheels and tires so that's

[18:27] exciting took almost uh two maybe three

[18:31] weeks to get one tire changed after one

[18:33] wheel was destroyed by a dealer who

[18:34] tried changing the tires so

[18:36] you know it's uh it's exciting times so

[18:39] what you are not getting when you pay

[18:41] six figures for a Corvette is a

[18:43] six-figure dealer experience that said

[18:45] the service people are nice they're just

[18:47] not used to necessarily dealing with

[18:49] esoteric sports cars and I don't

[18:51] entirely blame them they deal with

[18:52] trucks and equinoxes all day and you

[18:55] have some tech who doesn't get paid a

[18:56] lot of money and some [ __ ] shows up

[18:58] with a six-figure cars like fix it

[18:59] they'll be like go [ __ ] yourself but

[19:01] we're not talking about fixing it we're

[19:02] talking about changing a tire yes fair

[19:04] point so they couldn't change your tire

[19:06] and then they damaged the wheel trying

[19:08] to change the tire then they sent you

[19:09] away like yeah

[19:11] oh we couldn't do it and then in the end

[19:13] they they replace the tire and the wheel

[19:15] and another AFA helped Mount the tire

[19:18] for them which was was exciting yeah and

[19:21] like why don't you talk about AFA real

[19:23] quick so if you do live in Illinois and

[19:25] for the three people who who uh live

[19:27] there because I think there's a lot

[19:29] about okay yeah

[19:31] um if you live in the northwest suburbs

[19:33] and you need tires mounted or weird like

[19:35] it's called performance work done or

[19:37] service work done AFA performance in

[19:39] Downers Grove has been our go-to shop

[19:40] they've helped with a lot of the

[19:42] five-way or basically any of the

[19:44] comparison tests we've done they'll

[19:45] mount the tires they do brake pads for

[19:47] us when we don't have time to do it

[19:48] ourselves or we're feeling too lazy

[19:49] great job to work with it's a huge shout

[19:51] out to them yeah definitely it's it's

[19:53] one of those when you have cars and you

[19:54] don't have time to work on them it's

[19:56] like a load off when you have a place

[19:57] this is not sponsored but this is

[19:59] nothing it's not even really a plug I

[20:01] just wanted to bring it up since you

[20:02] talked about the tire stuff because

[20:03] they've really gone and bend over

[20:05] backwards because they love cars it's a

[20:07] shop that actually the guys that do it

[20:09] like cars they don't open until they

[20:10] work their regular jobs they're I.T guys

[20:12] then at 5 PM when they get off work

[20:14] they're like you know what I want to do

[20:15] with my evening I want to go work on

[20:16] some junks yeah so they open up their

[20:18] shop at like five or six pm and they

[20:20] work till like midnight they go to work

[20:21] the next day and restart it's crazy but

[20:23] to be fair it's it's Enthusiast cars

[20:25] mostly right they're not like I will do

[20:27] anything oh they will do anything we'll

[20:29] do anything I just feel like I always

[20:30] see like BMWs and gr86s and all that

[20:34] stuff there it's the I that's what their

[20:36] specialty is and they're primarily a

[20:37] referral shop okay oh cool anyway

[20:40] um what else to talk about five

[20:42] comparison Carlos we you got to cross uh

[20:45] another one off the list yeah we got to

[20:47] work with Carlos Lago who's every bit is

[20:50] amazing in person as he is on camera

[20:52] he's such a nice dude yeah that was one

[20:54] I know a lot of people if you're a

[20:56] little bit older you know I'm like now

[20:58] that I hit 27 I just had my 27th

[21:00] birthday and uh

[21:02] you know when I was like four years old

[21:05] I used to watch Motor Trend on YouTube

[21:07] and he was like on there and I always

[21:09] loved his relatableness it what he was

[21:12] never do she he was just really matter

[21:14] of fact and not I don't know not he

[21:18] wasn't abrasive so I loved his approach

[21:19] so it was kind of funny after all of

[21:21] this time from him going to Car and

[21:24] Driver we met him at a press event I

[21:26] don't gr86 it was gr86 okay we met him

[21:29] there and I just it was kind of weird to

[21:31] talk to him and then he realized like

[21:33] he's just a normal guy that likes cars

[21:34] and works in the car industry it's it's

[21:36] it was just as simple as that and I

[21:39] don't know how you could I think you

[21:41] reached out to him for this didn't you

[21:42] yeah one of us did I think yeah I might

[21:44] have and he said absolutely and he the

[21:47] real gentleman drove all the way out

[21:48] here uh was accommodating to our sort of

[21:51] our workflow and he genuinely is a nice

[21:54] nice guy funny and very professional

[21:56] he's the perfect person to bring in for

[21:58] a project he's so charismatic I mean

[22:00] it's hard on video because you know like

[22:02] he didn't do any of the film work and

[22:04] stuff he just was like the personality

[22:05] on there but I I feel bad that it wasn't

[22:08] as you know I don't know it was a good

[22:11] video to put him in honestly he was he

[22:12] was not just a cameo or like that was my

[22:15] goal with that is not just to make him a

[22:17] third wheel or a fifth wheel

[22:19] um to actually have him a part of it and

[22:21] I know it's weird just throwing him in

[22:23] but I felt like it worked pretty well

[22:25] for her first time doing it and that

[22:27] would be my idea of people like oh why

[22:28] don't you collaborate and collaborations

[22:29] are hard because to get somebody that's

[22:32] on the outside in and namely like car

[22:34] and driver right that's like a very very

[22:37] structured old school even though

[22:40] they're trying to change a lot of that

[22:41] you still have to bring that brand in

[22:43] and be safe to the brand and accessible

[22:45] while still doing your own thing and I

[22:48] felt like that was totally accomplished

[22:49] with that video so I was very happy with

[22:51] it

[22:52] you could always do more it could have

[22:54] been better in other ways but I really

[22:55] enjoyed that one if we had more time I

[22:58] think you know maybe incorporating a

[23:00] street element of it I just felt that

[23:01] using the track

[23:03] allowed us to drive the cars at whatever

[23:05] rate or Pace we wanted to so you could

[23:07] simulate and we did what it was like to

[23:10] putt the thing around right and no

[23:12] traffic on the track and just sort of

[23:13] enjoy the Dynamics of the car and also

[23:15] go flat out and obviously we brought in

[23:16] Brooke Casey who's been working with us

[23:18] now for a couple years super good guy

[23:20] racing instructor there former pro

[23:22] driver and he said all the laps and

[23:24] honestly that was getting him in and out

[23:27] of every one of the cars after he set

[23:29] his four or five laps and got us flyer

[23:31] than remounting the camera here in each

[23:33] one of the cars it took a lot of time

[23:34] but the dude never complains and he

[23:36] works really hard and he's as articulate

[23:39] as he can be he doesn't do this for a

[23:40] living right but he can speak to the

[23:42] nuances of you know what a race car

[23:45] driver is looking for in a vehicle like

[23:46] that

[23:47] um hopefully you guys enjoyed the video

[23:49] because that was really for you guys as

[23:50] much as it was for and on the back end

[23:52] I'm just I I just want to cover this

[23:54] real briefly for people that are

[23:55] watching you know

[23:57] um part people are like obviously I'm

[23:59] starting to seriously my battery is

[24:02] really low with this I'm like I'm

[24:04] questioning a lot of this and some of it

[24:06] is because to do what you want to do

[24:09] like what I want to do that comparison's

[24:12] a perfect example Jack is like always

[24:14] like shooting much higher and that's

[24:17] that's really how A lot of this happens

[24:18] when you shoot higher and you push the

[24:20] boundaries you do better stuff but at

[24:21] the same time it's like we've hit a wall

[24:24] or I have personally hit a wall where

[24:26] you're throwing five cars at me you know

[24:29] five cars with two people to film this

[24:32] entire thing it's incredible that it

[24:33] even got done and Chris Andrew Chin base

[24:36] he does help logistically and and I got

[24:38] to get him more involved with other

[24:39] stuff too but you know essentially two

[24:42] people doing the technical work and me

[24:43] doing all the editing I sat down and

[24:45] edited and I told Jack I'm like it took

[24:46] me five days literally five days

[24:48] straight because it's five Cars Plus lap

[24:51] times plus all this other [ __ ] plus

[24:52] trying to make Carlos look good and like

[24:54] you know make sure he's happy and he

[24:56] already looks good yeah it physically

[24:58] looks good that's not an issue but you

[25:00] know that it it it's not representing

[25:02] bad but it's so much work it's not does

[25:04] this what we're trying to do is not

[25:06] designed for two people it's not and

[25:07] we've been forcing this and then the

[25:09] worst part is there is not the return

[25:12] that there was on this the the costs are

[25:15] really high the time is really high and

[25:16] you know like from the business end

[25:18] right like anybody that's done this and

[25:20] I'm starting to really realize this it's

[25:22] hard for Jack because he's like let's

[25:24] get this thing let's get let's get in

[25:26] he's great at it and then I have to do

[25:28] the work on the back end I'm sitting

[25:30] here thinking I'm like okay I spent 80

[25:32] hours in a week editing this and then we

[25:35] probably spent me you and Chris

[25:37] uh what 50 hours and shooting it and

[25:40] then all the planning that was done

[25:42] probably another 20 hours so you're

[25:43] literally blowing three weeks of time

[25:46] and overhead uh and Logistics Fuel all

[25:49] that crap to shoot a video that comes

[25:51] out one day disappears has a couple

[25:53] hundred thousand views and maybe makes a

[25:56] couple thousand so the the return is not

[25:59] there when you look at these things like

[26:01] oh it's cool but why didn't you do this

[26:02] I'm like I sit there and think why did I

[26:04] do this you know and there's still

[26:06] somebody's like do you like cars and I

[26:08] love cars I'm just trying to figure out

[26:09] how to survive doing this [ __ ] the way

[26:12] that we want to do it like trying to

[26:13] trying to do more uh instead of just the

[26:17] cardboard stuff because if I'm not if

[26:18] I'm not doing this I really don't want

[26:20] to do it I don't just want to shut stuff

[26:22] out and it's so difficult now but

[26:25] um I'm really really proud of some of

[26:27] these projects that are coming up I

[26:29] think not saying they're going to be

[26:31] great but I'm really proud that we were

[26:33] able to do it with the resources and

[26:35] that the companies the companies

[26:36] honestly he thought that we were worth

[26:38] their time to devote resources and

[26:41] energy and people coming out like the

[26:42] NSX thing these guys came out of

[26:45] retirement to come here and do

[26:46] interviews because it could be the last

[26:48] time they're all together on camera that

[26:50] to me is the Pinnacle of this right like

[26:53] that's the best it gets yeah when the

[26:55] oems themselves are invested in uh the

[27:00] projects you're doing and it's not just

[27:01] some PR person phoning it in because

[27:03] they need to talk about a product when

[27:04] they actually care and hopefully some of

[27:06] these projects we're going to do you get

[27:08] that that vibe from the people involved

[27:10] that they they give a [ __ ] it makes for

[27:12] a much better

[27:14] experience at least putting it together

[27:16] I don't know how it translates to a

[27:17] viewer and then some of the the pain of

[27:20] this is you know I when I when we

[27:22] re-watch the video primarily we're

[27:24] trying to watch the video to make sure

[27:25] there's no [ __ ] errors yeah and it

[27:27] makes sense the enjoyment part doesn't

[27:29] really exist on our own our own end it's

[27:31] like

[27:32] I don't really watch car videos outside

[27:34] of a couple Outlets more because they're

[27:36] my friends in real life yeah because I'm

[27:38] hyper interested now so it you know it's

[27:40] a weird place to be

[27:42] um speaking of projects we bought

[27:45] another long termer the the gr86 was

[27:48] sold as we sort of alluded to a couple

[27:50] months ago and then as a new long-term

[27:54] or a lot of it because what you guys

[27:55] asked us to do and I think the five-way

[27:57] comparison sort of cemented it for me we

[28:00] did the gr Corollas any long term we

[28:02] worked with the same dealer in the same

[28:04] town Toyota St Charles they they only

[28:07] sell the locals and they're a no markup

[28:10] dealer which is great they just don't

[28:11] get a lot of cars because they're a

[28:12] smaller dealer tremendous to work with

[28:14] and the point of us doing the gr Corolla

[28:16] is despite it finishing either fourth or

[28:18] fifth in our you and I yeah fourth or

[28:21] fifth in our comparo test I guess bread

[28:23] too right and Brit

[28:25] um it presents a vehicle that is you

[28:28] know it's great on the street and it's

[28:30] not necessarily great on the track due

[28:32] to cooling issue and some Dynamic

[28:33] problems but it's also one of the more

[28:35] Simple cars on the test so I feel like

[28:37] it's the perfect candidate to see if

[28:39] modifying it with higher end dampers

[28:41] breaks cooling solutions basic alignment

[28:44] pads tires and wheels turns it into the

[28:47] car that all the marketing and the

[28:48] bravado from Toyota said it would be so

[28:51] that's sort of the plan for this video

[28:53] is unlike the gr86 but there really was

[28:55] nothing wrong with that car you just

[28:57] make it faster because you wanted to get

[28:59] more out of it the gr Corolla does have

[29:02] some genuine deficiencies so I feel like

[29:04] this is one of those cars where I'm

[29:06] actually genuinely really curious to see

[29:08] if you can or I can turn it into that

[29:10] car that I wanted it to be because when

[29:13] we went to the launch program we drove

[29:15] it in Utah and it was like 100 degrees

[29:17] out so the car was already you know sort

[29:19] of heat soaked as soon as you got into

[29:21] his already pulling timing so it didn't

[29:22] feel fast and you combine that with a

[29:24] track that then

[29:26] really play to its no it was like fun

[29:30] you know it was like a Miata when you if

[29:31] you have anybody's ever done eye racing

[29:33] and you take the Miata on like Suzuka or

[29:35] something like the cop car miati just

[29:37] sitting there falling asleep and I'm not

[29:39] saying you're falling asleep driving the

[29:40] Jerry Corolla but you could literally be

[29:42] foot to the floor on the entire track

[29:44] there's no oversteer there's understeer

[29:46] you can't get it to rotate no matter

[29:48] what you do and if you really want to

[29:50] try to Chuck it into a corner it just is

[29:51] like it's so safe feeling that there's

[29:54] something no Edge yeah there's no Edge

[29:55] to it and that's not what we went in

[29:57] expecting so when we did our comparison

[29:59] test I think there and you saw this on

[30:01] the forums people were a little bit

[30:02] upset that we like the lap time was like

[30:06] at the top but how is it possible that

[30:08] the car was the worst and I think it was

[30:10] a combination of factors that even

[30:12] though the lap time was quick it wasn't

[30:14] particularly that engaging to drive it

[30:16] didn't feel like there was nothing going

[30:19] on and we don't need the gr Corolla to

[30:20] be fast we need it to feel fun to drive

[30:23] and it just wasn't as fun as the other

[30:25] cars and then on top of it the interior

[30:26] not as good it's still expensive and

[30:29] then to have Brit go out for what is

[30:31] essentially three laps to come back

[30:32] where it just goes into front wheel

[30:33] drive mode only not saying not saying

[30:37] that that can't be fixed but from the

[30:40] dealership and buying a new car it's

[30:42] kind of a it's a big disappointment it

[30:44] is a big disappointment so Carlos's

[30:46] point was the jira Corolla is best

[30:48] bought As A Streetcar that you're

[30:50] driving in all seasons putting snow

[30:52] tires on it you can have fun in the

[30:53] winter it's got a manual parking brake

[30:54] you can do all the things that you want

[30:56] as an all-wheel drive car and to me

[30:59] that's going to be the Redemption when

[31:00] Jack told me he was getting a gr curl

[31:02] I'm like why don't why are you doing

[31:05] this it's like you know we don't even

[31:07] really like the car but at the same time

[31:09] we've only driven it in conditions where

[31:11] the best parts of it potentially are not

[31:14] coming out so as Jack drives it and we

[31:16] get it in inclement weather wet in the

[31:18] winter especially the winter in the

[31:20] midwest this might go from like okay

[31:22] it's kind of sedate to it could be one

[31:25] of the most fun street cars for the

[31:27] price I don't know we'll find out but

[31:28] that's the whole point of this I guess

[31:30] the only other projects I want to

[31:32] accomplish the Summers I want to do

[31:33] something with some of our other friends

[31:35] out there in the world like the straight

[31:37] pipes either go out to Canada have them

[31:40] out here shoot a project with them do

[31:41] something with Annie the lab and of

[31:43] course see something with everyday

[31:43] driver and some other Mica yeah yeah

[31:46] that's right yeah as well from uh Kelly

[31:48] Blue Book

[31:50] um I think it's time now that we answer

[31:52] some of these lovely people's questions

[31:55] and for those who have have asked

[31:59] these are not shrimp they are lobsters

[32:01] yeah Jack's got lobsters on his shirt

[32:04] um

[32:05] I don't even want to go there Jack all

[32:07] right

[32:08] so the very first question we got asked

[32:10] this was before we even went live was

[32:13] Zach Patterson what are your thoughts on

[32:16] the new Lexus GX specifically in regards

[32:19] to Future reliability of the new

[32:21] powertrain V6 twin turbo

[32:24] thank you by the way thank you very much

[32:26] thank you very much

[32:27] I am going to pull up the comments here

[32:30] so I can see what the hell I can send

[32:32] all my glasses on because I want to be

[32:33] cool I don't want to be uh

[32:35] he's asking about the new GX what do you

[32:37] think go to the starred thing oh yeah

[32:39] where's the star thing above right there

[32:43] oh thanks

[32:46] perfect uh Zach

[32:49] um thank you for the five dollars and uh

[32:52] we had our chance our first experience

[32:54] with the twins turbo V6 was in the LS

[32:58] uh the the Lexus LS and we talked to uh

[33:03] the head mechanic who had been working

[33:06] I don't even know what they call them

[33:08] the he's he just does escalations at

[33:10] this point he'd been a Lexus tech for 20

[33:12] years and he's worked on the five liter

[33:15] the Kick-Ass five leader they have which

[33:17] they never have to work on the v6s all

[33:20] like all that stuff and he said yes the

[33:23] new twin turbo is an absolute pain in

[33:25] the balls to work on compared to the

[33:27] other engines it's far more complicated

[33:28] by Design it's not going to be like the

[33:32] other engines because it's not the other

[33:33] engines it's a Next Generation car much

[33:36] like many brands that have you know

[33:38] turbos and all the other electronics and

[33:41] all the hoses and all the you know the

[33:43] plumbing that the cooling and all the

[33:45] crap that goes along into it and yes

[33:47] it's not it it's probably going to be

[33:49] reliable

[33:51] um and it could be very reliable it's

[33:52] just when it comes time to actually do

[33:54] the work it's going to be a bigger pain

[33:56] Point than the older cars and that's

[33:57] what I'll say I don't think it's going

[33:59] to be that big of a worry and with

[34:01] Toyota as they Mass produce it more and

[34:03] more and send millions of well I don't

[34:06] know it will be in millions of cars

[34:07] probably you'll have the part supply

[34:09] where the the cost of these parts will

[34:11] come down

[34:13] um and it yes it's going to be more

[34:14] labor to work on it but the parts aren't

[34:15] going to be like esoteric and expensive

[34:19] um so that should be the Saving Grace I

[34:21] I think it's going to be just as

[34:22] reliable oh they still have toys QDR

[34:24] yeah exactly or quality durability and

[34:27] reliability well that's what they said

[34:29] their focus is so I mean I don't know

[34:31] we'll see the LX though if the if the

[34:33] g-axis is is substantially cheaper than

[34:35] the LX the and it's a little bit more

[34:38] rugged and definitely more that like

[34:39] luxury off-roader where I know those are

[34:41] the LX is trying to accomplish but in

[34:43] the space the LX exists is so

[34:47] you know it's so underperforming and

[34:51] underwhelming compared to all the other

[34:52] big body gun frame like luxury SUVs

[34:55] someone buying an LX isn't buying an

[34:57] Alex to go off-road like they would

[34:59] maybe in the GX they're buying because

[35:01] they want a pimp SUV and if you want a

[35:03] big pimp SUV you buy an Escalade or some

[35:05] you know some big body on frame

[35:06] monstrosity to be fair the Lexus and

[35:08] Toyota buying public is probably the

[35:10] most unique buyers because they're not

[35:13] buying traditionally for like you're not

[35:16] going to see some guy uh like Greg with

[35:19] his uh Forerunner right like he wants to

[35:22] get another one it's like it doesn't

[35:24] make any logical sense and you say like

[35:26] oh why don't you get an X5 or something

[35:28] like that like that has zero interest

[35:30] you could be better in almost every way

[35:32] but the drivetrain the reliability the

[35:35] crap that's tried and true not crap but

[35:37] the things that are tried and true about

[35:38] Toyota just have a unique customer base

[35:41] they don't value the same thing so I

[35:44] think

[35:45] although the GX and uh the TX and

[35:48] whatever the hell they start naming all

[35:49] these things I think they're still going

[35:50] to have the good Toyota stuff they're

[35:52] just they focus on different things than

[35:54] the other luxury Brands and that's what

[35:55] makes them unique yeah the problem with

[35:57] Toyota's are better for worse is because

[35:59] they are insular and some of their

[36:02] approach they chase what they want to

[36:03] and they're often on paper behind yeah

[36:05] but you know their their buyers really

[36:07] care I want to quickly go back to the

[36:09] five-way comparison because as chin has

[36:11] pointed out a lot of people asked why we

[36:13] didn't include the Focus RS and how it

[36:15] would have done in that test from a lap

[36:18] time perspective I don't have a goddamn

[36:19] clue I don't know I mean it has the it

[36:22] has a huge horsepower advantage or not a

[36:24] horsepower Advantage but it has a lot of

[36:25] power it makes a lot of power it's got a

[36:27] torque vectoring rear diff I I think it

[36:30] would probably be right at the top of

[36:31] the list in terms of drivability fun on

[36:34] the track right like as we know we don't

[36:36] like it as a streetcar for just it's an

[36:38] old car right interior you know the way

[36:40] they tune the suspension it rides the

[36:42] complete ass it rides like ass because

[36:43] it's not it wasn't designed for the you

[36:45] know they didn't redevelop it for the

[36:47] United States

[36:48] designed for a German Market yeah so it

[36:51] just they they didn't redo the

[36:52] calibration they needed to do on the car

[36:54] to make it more friendly for the US

[36:55] which anyway it would have been really

[36:57] good on track why we didn't include it

[36:59] because we didn't have access to one and

[37:01] it was also a much older car and we had

[37:03] a relationship with the viewer with the

[37:06] s209 Tom who's very very kind of giving

[37:09] it to us in the process that that I said

[37:11] to myself like we need a Subaru here

[37:13] because everybody's like why didn't you

[37:14] put the WRX it's a car you can buy now

[37:16] that car is not in that same class it's

[37:19] not it's been softened up it's just a

[37:22] much it competes with the with the

[37:24] previous side yeah it's more of an

[37:26] outside competitor more of a GTI

[37:27] competitor not the not the track Focus

[37:30] car so the s209 like I wanted to put it

[37:32] in there to represent Subaru because I

[37:33] think it's the best car they ever made

[37:34] and the rest is history sorry uh for the

[37:39] Ford Fanatics maybe I'll try to get one

[37:41] during our gr Corolla series to see if

[37:43] it's better or worse well at least we'll

[37:44] lap it maybe maybe just throw it on the

[37:46] lap times try to find a day that's

[37:48] similar in temperature and maybe get it

[37:50] on the same tires for a leaderboard

[37:52] perspective I know it doesn't mean much

[37:53] and I don't care too much about that

[37:55] either but maybe people would like to

[37:57] see it in terms of like okay here's

[37:59] here's our list of stuff yeah I I don't

[38:01] even know what they're like from a used

[38:02] perspective it's just not a car

[38:04] to be entirely honest I've given a lot

[38:06] of thought too I mean I went back and

[38:08] recently when we before we did this Ford

[38:09] thing with the the Dark Horse I I went

[38:12] back and re-watched the Focus RS video

[38:14] because I was curious to see how I did

[38:15] it back in in the day and like what our

[38:17] approach was

[38:19] um and obviously A lot's changed but I

[38:21] think in retrospect like again it's

[38:24] experience and time if I would go back

[38:27] to that car I would judge it far less

[38:28] less harshly than I did during that time

[38:31] period but in that time period I'm

[38:33] thinking to myself I'm like

[38:35] there's other cars there's other cars

[38:37] that are have more thought given to them

[38:39] they could do this better and now we

[38:41] realize like nobody's really done it I

[38:43] bought a Mustang GTA yeah exactly cars

[38:46] were also cheaper then too you know

[38:47] there was a lot more options we wouldn't

[38:49] be having this debate

[38:51] um so anyway it's different time

[38:53] different areas cars next question Pavel

[38:55] Jones thank you for the uh ten dollars I

[38:58] got my fl5 in April congratulations for

[39:00] getting an fl5 and it's been wonderful

[39:02] Mark you are you planning to modify

[39:04] yours like wheel suspension Etc also do

[39:07] you know how long you're planning on

[39:08] keeping your fl5 much love from from

[39:10] Australia thanks Pavel I appreciate that

[39:12] uh yeah and thank you for the ten

[39:15] dollars so when I got the fl5

[39:18] the the short and long of it is I didn't

[39:22] really I wasn't looking forward to

[39:24] getting the car I got an allocation for

[39:26] it and I'm like okay I drove it on track

[39:29] during the Press event I'm like yes okay

[39:31] I'm like this is one time when I'm like

[39:33] okay I really like this car and then

[39:34] when I got it I was like okay I got it

[39:37] in the winter I didn't drive it and I'm

[39:38] like it's set and then when it came out

[39:41] of storage like in whatever March or

[39:43] April I drove it around and I'm like I

[39:46] really like this car more than I'd care

[39:47] to admit I like looking at it I like

[39:50] sitting in it I like driving it as a

[39:52] daily driver is it a rear-wheel drive

[39:54] car no is it ever going to be as fun as

[39:57] some of that no but it doesn't have to

[39:59] be I like that it's a real car so I

[40:01] didn't want to mess with it and

[40:02] unfortunately not unfortunately but we

[40:05] wound up having to use it for two

[40:06] comparison tests I didn't want to use my

[40:08] own car for this stuff because every

[40:10] time we use something like that's why we

[40:13] use press cards because you don't have

[40:14] the stress of it

[40:15] you know I took it out first thing you

[40:18] know I got a stain on the carpet uh I

[40:20] know something else I got a scratch on

[40:22] the steering wheel somehow I don't know

[40:24] how it happened it probably was me

[40:26] um I dropped two wheels off like almost

[40:29] four wheels technically it was four

[40:30] wheels but dropped two wheels off hard

[40:32] when we when I was trying to set a lap

[40:34] time in it when we were doing the

[40:36] Integra stuff and you know I scratched a

[40:39] wheel not the end of the world but this

[40:40] is the stuff you know when you start

[40:41] using these cars for this in mounting

[40:44] cameras I scratch my tint on the

[40:46] passenger window from the magnet mounts

[40:48] like I have like six things wrong with

[40:50] this car now just from using and filming

[40:51] and I'm really really tired of having my

[40:54] own cars getting messed up for the sake

[40:57] of this outside of her camera right

[40:58] outside of our camera cars right like it

[41:00] just I want a car that's not are you

[41:02] planning on modeling yeah I'm rambling

[41:03] uh yes but not a lot I'm gonna do wheels

[41:07] and tires brake pads uh I have Essex who

[41:11] sent me their J hook rotors to replace

[41:12] the original OEM rotor so I don't trust

[41:14] trash those

[41:16] um and I do want to do a custom Olean

[41:20] Stamper for the car to get rid of the

[41:22] Adaptive dampers but other than that I

[41:25] really like the car as is so just Basics

[41:27] like really minor brake modifications

[41:29] again pads is the main thing I don't

[41:30] even need to do the rotors uh Wheels

[41:32] tires and then the dampers which I

[41:34] basically do on all the cars I just

[41:35] don't want to mess with anything I

[41:37] really think the engine's good as is the

[41:38] gearbox is good as is you just have to

[41:40] change oil you know fluid a lot for the

[41:42] manual trans like any Honda just super

[41:45] enjoyable oh and the the pins before I

[41:47] do suspension I'll pull the the pins out

[41:49] of the struts to get more negative

[41:50] camera in the front because it would

[41:51] really help the car even if it's like

[41:53] half a degree but yeah that's it I do

[41:55] I'm not I don't want to get rid of it

[41:57] but the only reason I'm gonna have to

[41:58] get rid of it is if I start going broke

[41:59] like I really that's the only way I'm

[42:01] gonna have to sell it and I'll be really

[42:02] sad to do that the next question we have

[42:05] is from Mr foof82 it's 1978.

[42:09] crossovers are 25 years out suggest me a

[42:13] 5 000 pound eight mile per gallon Coupe

[42:16] for personal luxury I deserve even if

[42:19] it's a personal luxury Coupe in name

[42:20] only props if the engine output is under

[42:23] 30 horsepower per liter Lincoln Mark IV

[42:26] oh dude I was going to give them the

[42:28] 6000 sux

[42:30] the science fiction car well that would

[42:32] work too if if we lived in that yeah but

[42:35] the 6000 su-x wasn't

[42:37] in 1978 oh yeah for a point RoboCop was

[42:39] in the 80s it was like 185. so you're

[42:42] you're 10 years okay so if you're in

[42:44] 1985 6000 sux if you're 1978 Lincoln

[42:48] Mark IV that truck's almost had one

[42:50] right yeah she had one a yellow one with

[42:51] yellow interior it got four miles to the

[42:53] gallon I think it made

[42:56] I think four four yeah and I think it it

[42:59] made holy [ __ ]

[43:01] what the hell do you know what the

[43:02] engine size of that thing was I think

[43:04] that was four was it was it the XM

[43:06] Valdez underneath the hood this is

[43:08] really really funny actually let me look

[43:10] this up uh

[43:15] I got a laptop here I'm gonna go look it

[43:17] up no she got four miles per gallon she

[43:19] had to ever okay guess this engine size

[43:21] of this thing

[43:22] seven liters 7.5 liter of horsepower no

[43:26] no that's the best part ready I gotta

[43:28] find the horsepower I don't wanna I

[43:29] don't wanna underrate it

[43:31] holy [ __ ] come on baby

[43:35] sorry I should know my horsepower five

[43:37] liter V8

[43:38] two valves per cylinder rated at 365

[43:42] horsepower oh it made that much power no

[43:45] that can't be right

[43:48] the 460 carryover for Mark 4 f-197 read

[43:51] it under one a numeric decrease this 212

[43:53] horsepower

[43:58] 50 at 7.5 liters it hits the box for a

[44:02] low displacement versus or high

[44:04] displacement versus Power and then four

[44:05] miles per gallon just you know keep that

[44:08] carb clean man if you want better power

[44:10] all right Mr foof 82 go buy yourself a

[44:12] Lincoln Mark IV what color was your

[44:14] mom's

[44:15] my Grandma had a champagne color one a

[44:19] rose with rose interior my mom had a

[44:21] yellow on yellow

[44:22] um

[44:24] those things is that why you don't like

[44:26] V8s now Mark let me tell you one story

[44:28] about that card all right that's my dad

[44:30] this is like a classic story this is

[44:32] like the best thing that ever happened

[44:33] to my family my grandpa had a stroke

[44:39] no that wasn't the best that's not the

[44:41] best part he had a stroke you know he

[44:43] was he lived a fast life uh and he

[44:46] constantly fought with my grandmother so

[44:48] he had a stroke he just couldn't handle

[44:49] her anymore

[44:51] so she left them

[44:54] after he was debilitated

[44:57] so he got put in a nursing home

[44:59] unfortunately for him and I remember

[45:02] going to visit him and he he recovered

[45:04] but he couldn't he could never really

[45:06] walk again he had a walker unfortunately

[45:07] where does this story get amazing the

[45:09] story with the car it comes in it's

[45:11] pretty cool

[45:12] so he he regained some of his ability to

[45:15] walk but he was you know he was screwed

[45:17] up from it thank God he's cognitive

[45:18] function he could think and every while

[45:20] it didn't it didn't do any damage up top

[45:22] but yeah my mom would pick him up to do

[45:24] some family stuff and she he would get

[45:27] in the front seat and it took forever

[45:28] but the the that wheelchair and a walker

[45:30] could fit inside this Mark for I mean

[45:32] you could fit like three wheelchairs in

[45:34] this thing he sat in the front seat

[45:36] and because he couldn't swallow properly

[45:38] he always had these nasty loogies like

[45:40] he would constantly keep coughing up

[45:42] like a handful of snot and me and my dad

[45:47] are in the back seat and he has one of

[45:49] his coughing fits on the highway he

[45:50] rolls down his window we didn't have air

[45:52] conditioning in the car he rolls down

[45:54] the front window and he's coughing and

[45:57] he caused this huge loogie out and my

[45:58] dad was sitting by the the back window

[46:00] and the loogie flies out my dad's like

[46:02] desperately trying to do the ones on a

[46:04] crank he's desperately trying to roll

[46:05] the window this thing this snot globule

[46:07] hits the window just as it's closing and

[46:10] it's covered the whole side of the

[46:11] window my dad's like oh

[46:13] [Laughter]

[46:16] I remember

[46:17] Mike because I was so young I'm like

[46:18] just to see his sheer Panic that was the

[46:21] closest thing he ever came to to the the

[46:24] the fear since he was probably in

[46:26] Vietnam

[46:30] that was really the only memory I had of

[46:33] the the Lincoln I was sitting in the

[46:35] back for that Masterpiece that's [ __ ]

[46:37] incredible all right anyway that went

[46:39] long but all right next uh Mr foof 82

[46:44] hope thank you again for the you got

[46:46] your money he won you won trivia he gave

[46:48] you five extra dollars for guessing that

[46:50] card oh wow oh thank you sir you're

[46:53] you're a good man is that the one he was

[46:54] really talking about yeah bonus is

[46:56] Promised Mark wow I would never get

[46:58] they're ready per leader

[47:01] I expected from someone in the heart of

[47:03] my last country thanks Mark well Mr

[47:06] foof82 you're more than welcome mark

[47:08] thank you for for getting that trivia

[47:09] right uh Jordan reader thank you for the

[47:12] five dollar donation mobster thanks for

[47:15] the two dollar donation thoughts on a

[47:17] gently used condom business uh Jordan

[47:19] thanks for the five bucks and um officer

[47:22] I would not play with that that field at

[47:24] all unless you're getting the condoms uh

[47:27] from trusted sources uh

[47:32] I would call me just call me after this

[47:34] okay uh uh Paul uh uh Kim

[47:41] anyway Paul thank you for the ten

[47:43] dollars what are your thoughts comparing

[47:44] the gr super manual to the current

[47:46] Cayman GTS and the new Lotus Amira super

[47:50] seems like a bargain at 40K or less I

[47:53] you know it wouldn't say you guys super

[47:55] for less than forty thousand dollars no

[47:56] it's fine oh no forty thousand dollars

[47:58] listening to the cards oh yeah I I would

[48:00] be really surprised if the super wasn't

[48:02] faster than the mirror around the track

[48:03] I think it would be I bet you the super

[48:06] is probably faster than they came in GTS

[48:07] too you think so pretty close I bet you

[48:10] just really cool alarmingly close I mean

[48:12] the Supra makes so much power no okay

[48:15] here we go let's let's okay you want to

[48:17] know why it makes so much power mark

[48:19] because the b-58 yeah that was like this

[48:23] dude set you up for that

[48:25] the Amira is a beautiful car I just

[48:28] watched everyday drivers three-way

[48:31] comparison between the Cayman GTS the C8

[48:34] Corvette a wonderful wonderful car built

[48:37] in Bowling Green Kentucky and naturally

[48:39] of course the Amira the Emira is

[48:41] probably the most beautiful car you can

[48:43] buy for under a hundred thousand dollars

[48:45] our PR rep and I saw this question

[48:48] earlier are we ever going to do in a

[48:49] mirror maybe we were supposed to do a

[48:50] mirror a year and a half ago it got

[48:52] delayed three separate times we asked

[48:55] the factory for footage they sent us

[48:56] something shot on an iPhone it maybe one

[48:59] day we'll do an Amira video but so far

[49:01] the Lotus experience dealing with the

[49:04] company is like I imagine how it's like

[49:06] to own an actual Lotus and get it

[49:08] serviced it is an interesting experience

[49:10] there's two different Lotus mentalities

[49:12] there's the people that live in the

[49:14] where the Home Market where that car is

[49:16] and thinks it's the best thing ever

[49:17] probably because there's dealerships to

[49:19] support it and then there's Lotus

[49:21] Fanatics in the US that will make every

[49:22] excuse for those cars because there's

[49:24] nothing else like it

[49:25] and that's really fair you know when I

[49:28] had the Exige it was a special car until

[49:29] I actually had to have it fixed and

[49:31] that's what did it for me they just

[49:33] didn't care they didn't you know it just

[49:35] to me that's not a good that I don't

[49:37] want a car where I can't get support on

[49:39] it and you're gonna need support on it

[49:40] and it's uh next even though it's not

[49:42] really a Next Generation car it's an X

[49:44] Generation car for Lotus and it's really

[49:46] our only car they don't have a lot of

[49:48] dealerships you're having five hundred

[49:50] thousand dollar car problems like 300

[49:53] 300 000 car from like Ferrari

[49:55] Lamborghini problems really more McLaren

[49:58] problems in a hundred thousand dollar

[50:01] car yeah if you can deal with that the

[50:03] Amira is amazing nothing else like it

[50:05] otherwise you know Supra versus Cayman

[50:08] the Cayman GTs for a leader I met

[50:10] someone who wants an Audubon driving

[50:12] school and bought one Cars engines

[50:15] amazing gearbox is great it looks good

[50:17] it's gonna hold its value is it forty

[50:19] thousand dollars better than the Supra

[50:20] would you you don't like the Supra so

[50:22] it's probably the wrong person asking

[50:23] would you mind would you buy a Cayman

[50:25] for the manual

[50:27] I will buy in my current position I'd

[50:30] buy a Supra because I think that what

[50:32] you're getting in the GTS 4 liter even

[50:34] though it's great is a lot of money it's

[50:37] really a lot of money for what that is I

[50:38] mean it's a great car though it's hard

[50:40] it just depends on what if you have

[50:42] disposable income and you can afford a

[50:44] GTS 4 liter you're gonna buy that yeah

[50:46] honestly a question and gentleman is

[50:49] asked a couple times that is a non-paid

[50:51] question and I'm sorry it's trying to go

[50:53] through like super chat and regular

[50:55] questions and I'm trying to make sure I

[50:57] hit as many people as possible gentlemen

[50:59] asked something about is an M2 or a

[51:02] Supra a good like

[51:04] first fast car

[51:06] if you've never been in a performance

[51:07] car before would you buy a like a super

[51:09] hour or a M2 do you think that's too

[51:12] much card at first like your first

[51:13] performance go jumping right into an M2

[51:15] or yes it's too much if you're gonna

[51:17] track it and enjoy it it's probably too

[51:19] much car if you're just gonna drive the

[51:21] street it's fine an M2 is a fast car oh

[51:23] it's really it depends how old you are

[51:25] and what your Driving Experience is but

[51:26] you don't if you don't have a lot of

[51:27] driving experience it's it's I would not

[51:29] recommend it I personally I just I think

[51:32] that car is you're asking for trouble if

[51:34] you don't have any driving aptitude to

[51:36] do it and yes there's a ton of

[51:37] electronics it's not to say that that's

[51:39] not going to save you but you're not

[51:41] going to get a lot out of it if you

[51:42] don't know how to drive that car so if

[51:44] you buy either of those cars go do a

[51:46] driving school immediately yes

[51:49] um yeah don't don't I'm not saying don't

[51:51] buy it I'm just saying if you buy that

[51:53] car you better tune up your own driving

[51:55] ability to to really do what you need to

[51:57] do with it and you're just going to be

[51:58] more safe too and you'll get to actually

[52:00] enjoy your car

[52:01] next question any word on the e92 M3

[52:05] after owning it asan Khan thank you for

[52:07] the two dollars uh you know I go up and

[52:09] back on that car and I think it's a

[52:11] great car personally if you're gonna if

[52:13] you really are passionate about and you

[52:15] love it just buy one and keep it because

[52:16] it's going to be probably you know like

[52:18] everything else a collectible

[52:20] um the the retrospect for me is I would

[52:22] never buy one again

[52:24] uh only because it's like it's the right

[52:28] engine in the wrong car that's it that's

[52:30] the best way to sum it up it just feels

[52:32] like such a special engine in a car that

[52:34] is just so cardboard

[52:36] I know it's got great Dynamics and all

[52:38] that stuff but really what that car

[52:40] should have been is like 500 pounds

[52:42] lighter it should have been far more

[52:44] focused it should have been edgy and it

[52:45] just feels like a boat like I don't know

[52:48] how to put it it just there's something

[52:50] wrong with like two different teams like

[52:53] oh we got to put this V8 in here that we

[52:55] have it's going to be amazing and the

[52:56] engine is amazing but the car is so so

[52:58] it's just I don't know that's how I feel

[53:00] about it it's a hero it was a hero car

[53:02] of mine in high school so like my my

[53:04] dream car in high school was a 997 gt34

[53:07] lead not surprising you I grew up

[53:09] watching Porsche's race but the other

[53:10] cars like my dream obtainable car one

[53:12] day I'll have an engineering job and

[53:13] I'll be able to buy an e92 M3 I drove a

[53:16] bunch of them in college as my friends

[53:17] owned used ones and it was first car and

[53:20] yours which I watched all of your

[53:22] problems like I'm never buying one and

[53:24] then I've driven modified them you know

[53:26] Matt from obsessed garage I've driven

[53:28] one of afa's cars and for how much money

[53:30] they are now particularly used [ __ ] no

[53:32] get something else and that's yeah and

[53:34] that's the thing price is a big factor

[53:36] like when I got mine I got mine at the

[53:38] top of the market like it was way

[53:40] expensive and that was like what forty

[53:42] thousand dollars or something like that

[53:44] that was expensive uh because I got a

[53:46] 2013 but now like they've gone up by

[53:49] another fifteen thousand dollars I think

[53:51] right yeah like a really really clean

[53:53] low miles one can be like 60 or 70 yeah

[53:56] that's just not worth it no no if you

[53:57] can if you could have got it in like the

[53:59] thirty thousand dollar range and you're

[54:00] gonna do rod bearings and all the other

[54:02] crap that you need to do and then

[54:03] suspension work and all that other

[54:05] things that breaks of course you still

[54:07] need to do brakes it's like you're

[54:08] getting like an eco car that you have to

[54:11] do like you won't get enough baby get a

[54:13] new M3 get an E46 I think that's a more

[54:15] special experience you go on an old BMW

[54:17] pile you get a GT350 with the world's

[54:19] longest warranty and roll the dice

[54:22] Corvette I mean there's a lot of cars

[54:24] for that kind of money the engine is

[54:26] really special though like you're buying

[54:27] that car for that I don't disagree uh

[54:30] Brosnan in Paris thank you for the two

[54:32] dollars why is there a limit on patreon

[54:33] it doesn't make sense well we're bad at

[54:35] managing patreon and I promise hand on

[54:37] my heart that chin face and I Chris and

[54:40] I will finally activate the Discord

[54:42] after saying this for three years for

[54:44] patreon and I will re-change the tiers

[54:46] once again so more people can join it

[54:48] just

[54:49] patreon's amazing we couldn't at all do

[54:52] some of our big projects without a

[54:53] genuinely patreons why we can be like Oh

[54:55] I'm gonna spend four thousand dollars to

[54:56] shoot a video like that's the only way

[54:58] we can do it is through patreon

[55:00] otherwise he and I would be living in a

[55:01] shoebox that's true and honestly I've

[55:03] said this before but this is like these

[55:05] past three months is the first time

[55:06] where like when I cash out patreon to go

[55:09] like it's critically important to the to

[55:12] this operating because we've done so

[55:13] many Big Brothers yeah it's it's

[55:14] literally has to be there and without

[55:16] that support this is done that's how bad

[55:18] it is and not bad but you know what I

[55:20] mean that's how important it is to us

[55:22] right now so yes Jack will update it and

[55:25] patreon is actually redoing their layout

[55:27] and stuff to help with that so you can

[55:29] see what things are easier so I think

[55:31] it's actually a good time to do it and

[55:33] like I get all these emails from patreon

[55:34] all the time like we're making this

[55:35] better we're making it easier for you do

[55:37] you want to hop on a call do you want to

[55:38] do this [ __ ] and it's like I'm gonna be

[55:40] up till two in the morning tonight

[55:41] editing the last thing I want to do is

[55:43] Hop on there it's just a matter of time

[55:44] it's it's we need it but we also need to

[55:47] spend more time with that part and I I'm

[55:49] not the world's greatest businessman but

[55:51] I'm trying my best to maintain the

[55:53] business side of things as well as

[55:54] typically if you do deal with someone on

[55:56] patreon and stock market it's me yeah

[55:58] and I do my best I do look at every

[56:01] single thing that comes on there

[56:04] it's just it's hard it's just hard like

[56:06] you've got you got to pick and choose

[56:07] what you're actually doing and for me

[56:09] it's how do I keep the content how do I

[56:11] keep things going uh wild frames let's

[56:15] start with hello hello wild frames thank

[56:17] you for the five dollars BGN best car

[56:20] views in the world thanks wild frames

[56:22] yes I really appreciate it thank you

[56:23] wild frames and thank you uh Bros in

[56:26] Paris and Asha Khan and everybody else

[56:29] thank you Ginger hermit thank you for

[56:31] the 25 for one of those peanut butter

[56:34] jelly wedges they're almond butter

[56:36] because Mark is weak

[56:38] I'm not going to get into why it's

[56:40] almond butter I don't have a peanut

[56:42] allergy Jack if that's what you're

[56:43] getting at but uh it's not health

[56:45] reasons really it's just a preference

[56:48] and he's wrong peanut butter is better

[56:50] uh sell uh Michael turning thank you for

[56:53] the two dollar donation

[56:55] uh who Scoops for ten dollars oh I like

[56:57] this name selling my

[56:59] 997.2 C2 six-speed and my 981 GTS six

[57:04] speed sadly just totaled by hail any

[57:07] suggestions for replacement trying for

[57:09] sixty thousand dollars and Below fomer

[57:12] M2 BRZ owner in M2 gr86 right now for

[57:17] daily slash autocross and One Track day

[57:19] a year

[57:20] and the daily part makes it harder so if

[57:22] you had sixty thousand dollars Mark what

[57:23] would you buy

[57:26] it's hard man

[57:28] the problems you're coming from a 997.2

[57:31] C2 six-speed like a really great Porsche

[57:34] and a 991 GTS six-speed also a really

[57:37] great Porsche getting into an M2 and

[57:39] coming from before show you're gonna be

[57:40] like oh man

[57:42] I just downgraded but you're gonna need

[57:44] to drive both um to see it's m2cs or M2

[57:47] competition M2 comp oh M2 comp I would

[57:49] take the gr 86

[57:52] I know that's so weird but it's going to

[57:54] be the most it's going to be the slower

[57:55] car but it's going to have the same good

[57:57] feeling of the Porsche in some ways and

[58:00] the the porschos yeah I hate to say it

[58:03] too I mean if you want a real driver's

[58:05] car the gr86 is probably I mean it's

[58:08] gonna feel like a [ __ ] box compared to

[58:10] those two Porsches you're getting out of

[58:11] and the engine's gonna feel like a

[58:12] garbage can because it kind of is a

[58:14] garbage engine

[58:15] but yeah and if you want a driver

[58:17] connection it's the best car for a drive

[58:19] for other than like a Miata that's like

[58:21] but you're gonna have to do tires and

[58:23] stuff like you have to literally do

[58:24] tires and GT350 with a really long

[58:26] warranty when it blows up don't message

[58:28] me

[58:30] drive them both drive them to

[58:32] competition in the gr 86 and you're

[58:34] gonna know right away like you're gonna

[58:35] know what talks to you more and I'm sure

[58:37] that the power is going to talk to you

[58:39] C7 Grand Sport that's another car if you

[58:41] were just dealing and you came in the

[58:43] c7s are I think I've sold mine at 2019

[58:46] which is the most desirable year in

[58:48] color for like 62 Grand so you're right

[58:50] there that car is amazing like I'm I

[58:53] many ways still prefer the C7 over the

[58:57] Z06 the current one the manual is not

[59:00] the best but it's a manual you feel like

[59:02] you get some of the old car feel out of

[59:04] it because it's really you know just an

[59:06] iteration of a C5 you're not going to

[59:08] talk to you're not going to talk a

[59:09] Porsche owner that's looking at a German

[59:11] car and a grd6 into a Chevy but it

[59:14] wasn't built in Bowling Green turkey

[59:15] where was I born built no their car

[59:18] those cars weren't this this car oh yeah

[59:21] oh I see it was built by America's

[59:22] Finest crafts you know what's funny I

[59:24] was thinking about the ss1le when he was

[59:26] saying that because that would have been

[59:27] another option yeah it's a badass ZL1 is

[59:30] a badass card see that car is hilarious

[59:32] yeah but you're talking about it's

[59:34] probably not in this you know it

[59:36] wouldn't be in on in my radar either

[59:38] Fair Point hopefully that helps who

[59:40] Scoops will Matt thank you for the five

[59:42] dollars my grandma Tess drove a stelvio

[59:44] quadrifoglio and loved it but it's been

[59:46] going back and forth between the Julia

[59:47] and Sylvia what would your what's your

[59:49] opinion would your grandmother sounds

[59:51] like a badass by the way yeah that's

[59:52] kind of a weird thing like do you want

[59:54] an SUV or a sedan no the grandma wants a

[59:57] quadrifoglio that's what I'm saying but

[59:58] a stalvio or a Julia are two totally

[1:00:01] different cars like if you don't need

[1:00:03] the space like if you don't need the SUV

[1:00:05] the Julia is way better that's one of

[1:00:08] the coolest sedans in the world like by

[1:00:10] a long stretch like I know you never

[1:00:12] drove it no I did oh I did I drove it I

[1:00:14] wrote America and I lost brakes that's

[1:00:16] right okay as a streetcar I would take

[1:00:19] the Julia let's just leave it there yeah

[1:00:21] the Julia is super cool and it sounds

[1:00:23] good yeah you roll down the windows and

[1:00:25] then just hear that thing rip oh

[1:00:28] Michael turning thank you for the one

[1:00:30] dollar super sticker once again

[1:00:32] oh and he's asking how old I am I am

[1:00:35] 735.

[1:00:37] now I'm 28. where did you see this

[1:00:39] question it's down here Michael turn him

[1:00:41] he just answered you know he managed to

[1:00:43] ask a question at the same time oh I see

[1:00:46] I have like multiple versions of her

[1:00:47] stream coming up including regular

[1:00:49] questions don't ever say that to me

[1:00:51] again so I'm horrible alphabach Brackley

[1:00:53] you are a gentleman sir long time patron

[1:00:56] of ours for 223. if the NSX video

[1:00:59] succeeds a Prelude video next year I

[1:01:03] would love to do a Prelude video I know

[1:01:04] you would I'd like to do the Prelude

[1:01:06] before the last one not the last I don't

[1:01:08] even know what Geno is the not the sh

[1:01:11] all-wheel drive with what the hell did

[1:01:13] they call it no not always drive sh

[1:01:15] super handling yeah but what the hell do

[1:01:18] they call it it was something else

[1:01:20] anyway not that one the previous one

[1:01:22] where it had the electrical elimination

[1:01:23] Dash across the whole Center that's

[1:01:26] that's the premium one we are Scott at

[1:01:29] King Motorsports has continues to offer

[1:01:30] us his K cars we are going to do a k-car

[1:01:32] video Yeah and those are badass that's

[1:01:34] going to be a hilarious video I look t

[1:01:37] for five dollars any updates on the

[1:01:39] Mazda 3 I bought one I'm very pleased

[1:01:41] one point five thousand miles later

[1:01:44] wanna hear keep hearing your experience

[1:01:46] and thanks experiences thank Jen thanks

[1:01:49] gents wow I just had a stroke like your

[1:01:51] grandma your grandma yeah you're gonna

[1:01:52] spit on me now

[1:01:54] um so the Mazda 3 long-termer is mine

[1:01:58] Mark has the MDX we're both getting to

[1:02:00] the end of our tenure with these cars

[1:02:02] I'm shooting that sort of wrap-up video

[1:02:04] uh in next week I've put 14

[1:02:09] 000 miles and as a sort of disclaimer my

[1:02:13] my girlfriend put most of the miles on

[1:02:15] that car because she's in medical school

[1:02:16] she did her rotations in it and I've

[1:02:18] driven it a lot we've serviced it I

[1:02:20] think this will be probably the most

[1:02:21] comprehensive look I can do

[1:02:23] in six months we put as many miles on

[1:02:25] this thing as possible but a Year's

[1:02:26] worth of miles in six months I talked to

[1:02:28] dealer tax figure out what breaks on

[1:02:30] them and it's not a bomb proof car there

[1:02:32] are problems with it

[1:02:34] hopefully you like it in the end

[1:02:36] um it's a great car though I think it's

[1:02:38] a car that the more time I spend in it

[1:02:39] you know initially I was sort of down on

[1:02:41] it but now it's a car that I get into

[1:02:43] like I drove it here I drove an hour to

[1:02:45] get here and I'm like

[1:02:47] I don't think about it it's a great like

[1:02:49] pseudo luxury car that looks good it's

[1:02:53] comfortable enough Nimble enough and

[1:02:54] it's not like a car that you ever I'm

[1:02:57] like man I don't want to be in this

[1:02:58] thing yeah I think of it as like as

[1:03:00] we've done this comparison I thought of

[1:03:01] it more as like a good GTI competitor

[1:03:03] it's it's like the layout compared to

[1:03:06] the golf is so much more intuitive and

[1:03:09] it just feels so easy and effortless to

[1:03:12] use that car on the inside

[1:03:14] um and if you don't need the space part

[1:03:16] like if you don't need you know a big

[1:03:17] back seat and a huge hatch space like

[1:03:19] some of the newer cars it is it's a

[1:03:22] special car in its segment it just you

[1:03:24] know again there's trade-offs Mazda

[1:03:26] needs you know they don't have unlimited

[1:03:27] money otherwise it would be even better

[1:03:29] but it's a really good car for what they

[1:03:31] set out to do

[1:03:32] actually you want to know how old I am

[1:03:34] Mark I'm b-58

[1:03:36] oh yeah yeah that's how old I am that's

[1:03:38] an amazing comment in the regular

[1:03:39] comments just that's how you I mean if I

[1:03:41] had time I would have Aid you this whole

[1:03:43] thing uh AJ for 220 Canadian

[1:03:48] um Genesis

[1:03:50] G80 V8 or Genesis G80 V8 so 2013 or 2015

[1:03:57] G80

[1:03:59] the Genesis wasn't

[1:04:00] the 2013 wasn't a Genesis was it wasn't

[1:04:03] a G80 in 2013. whatever the VA Genesis

[1:04:06] was in 2013. the first one didn't that

[1:04:09] motor of a ton of problems wasn't it I

[1:04:11] don't remember no it was a Genesis you

[1:04:13] could do the regular Genesis sedan which

[1:04:15] was a Hyundai had a V8 in 2013. I knew a

[1:04:18] friend of mine in

[1:04:19] I know yeah I know I didn't think I

[1:04:21] didn't think it wasn't a j they didn't

[1:04:23] switch over to the G G80 moniker until

[1:04:25] like

[1:04:30] anyway if you're gonna I don't know when

[1:04:32] they cut it off because they made

[1:04:33] revisions to that engine and I don't

[1:04:35] remember when they made the revisions

[1:04:40] sorry you know we gotta get on here it's

[1:04:42] 100 it was just called a Genesis in in

[1:04:44] 2013. but yeah it wasn't a Justice

[1:04:47] yeah the first one versus the later like

[1:04:50] the 2015 V8 what would you get

[1:04:52] uh they made improvements from the

[1:04:55] previous gen to the new one and then

[1:04:56] they made updates again so the the

[1:04:58] engine got changed three times and then

[1:05:00] the trans got changed like probably yeah

[1:05:01] this is the body style for the 2015.

[1:05:06] personally I I'm I would just say 2015

[1:05:09] because I think it's a far superior car

[1:05:11] it's on the a way better platform it's

[1:05:14] like the platform is like night and day

[1:05:16] better so just go with the 2015

[1:05:19] um and just be ready just in case have a

[1:05:21] warranty on that engine

[1:05:23] it's a great car though I love it Andy

[1:05:26] and Abby the lab it's pleasure seeing

[1:05:29] you guys both Joe and Deb

[1:05:31] paying for Jack and Mark to hold hands

[1:05:33] to the rest of the stream I will I will

[1:05:34] grab Mark's hand right now the reason

[1:05:37] the way I met Mark was that a singles

[1:05:40] pottery class that's really how I did it

[1:05:42] I wonder when do we have to stop holding

[1:05:44] hands oh we have to hold hands for the

[1:05:45] rest of the stream sadly uh your T

[1:05:48] levels are too high for me and I have to

[1:05:49] use my other hand so I'm gonna take it

[1:05:52] back Andy and Abby the lab I'm sorry I

[1:05:54] can't these dogs all they want to do is

[1:05:57] touching all these dogs want to do is

[1:06:00] cuddle and leave their hair everywhere

[1:06:01] how could you have two animals like that

[1:06:05] that you spend 90 of your life cleaning

[1:06:07] up here

[1:06:10] [Laughter]

[1:06:13] yeah my T levels went up I started

[1:06:15] shedding and now I don't have to deal

[1:06:16] with it again now those those two

[1:06:19] woofers Andean which is the one that

[1:06:21] mauled me

[1:06:22] uh I think it was it was Abby Abby yeah

[1:06:25] it was sitting on the couch and

[1:06:27] and Abby came up to me because she was

[1:06:29] not trained properly and she clawed my

[1:06:32] leg right through my jeans and I had a I

[1:06:36] have a scar on my leg from that animal

[1:06:37] now I can't be a model for the the

[1:06:40] Kirkland catalog uh Colin nikritz for

[1:06:44] seven dollars uh well thank you Colin

[1:06:47] for your seven dollar donation thank you

[1:06:49] Colin and thank you you had a question

[1:06:51] yeah Jack would hold hands Mark uh I

[1:06:54] would hold hands with you the whole

[1:06:55] stream if you were the b-58 I would just

[1:06:57] stroke you the whole time I should have

[1:06:58] had a b-58 model here oh

[1:07:02] um

[1:07:03] Rick cule

[1:07:05] uh wait what is this Mark no Arby's beef

[1:07:08] and Cheddars blasphemy if you ask me

[1:07:12] yeah I thought about ordering it I

[1:07:15] really because I needed food because I

[1:07:16] haven't eaten any of the peanut butter

[1:07:17] and jelly sandwich wound up coming

[1:07:19] because I can't you know

[1:07:23] I want broke my all my gift cards ran

[1:07:26] out

[1:07:27] um Rick thank you for the 10 donation

[1:07:29] noodles extra MSG it's an amazing name

[1:07:33] thank you for the two dollars one is the

[1:07:35] AI Jack uprising

[1:07:38] uh the last AI Jack was out of control

[1:07:41] in the last video which was probably one

[1:07:44] of the most

[1:07:46] physically exhausting videos I ever made

[1:07:48] the Ram 2500 Ram video that three people

[1:07:51] watched yeah check out the Jack AI in

[1:07:54] that video if you want to see the future

[1:07:55] of where he's going

[1:07:57] um and I'll just leave it at that uh

[1:08:01] Andy and Abby again for twenty dollars

[1:08:04] what's with these animals what do they

[1:08:06] want from me thank you Joe and Deb when

[1:08:08] is the Carlos goson interview gonna

[1:08:10] going to go in Live Well I I too have to

[1:08:13] get smuggled into Palestine

[1:08:20] I can't remember all this useless

[1:08:23] knowledge anyway you know who I I will

[1:08:27] figure out a way for us to get sponsored

[1:08:29] for like 10 million dollars and we will

[1:08:30] do a documentary on the Murano cross

[1:08:33] Cabriolet and we will fly to whatever

[1:08:35] country he lives in we won't survive

[1:08:37] that

[1:08:38] do you think his wife's gonna kill no no

[1:08:40] we will get executed if we do

[1:08:43] it's not worth it for a Nissan uh I

[1:08:46] don't want to do it uh 10 for two

[1:08:49] dollars uh why don't you guys or if you

[1:08:52] review the Ford Taurus Show

[1:08:55] I'm going to be honest which one the the

[1:08:58] 2010 one the one that people think not

[1:09:00] the Conan O'Brien one but the the 2010

[1:09:03] one the Yamaha one or the new one the

[1:09:04] new one EcoBoost the one with EcoBoost

[1:09:06] uh you know what funny enough Scott had

[1:09:10] a guy that came in who was a viewer and

[1:09:12] he reached out like six or seven

[1:09:15] different times and this is when I was

[1:09:17] like really getting started with this

[1:09:19] stuff and it just it never happened

[1:09:22] um

[1:09:23] so yeah I don't know that it's gonna

[1:09:25] happen I'd be curious to do the old one

[1:09:27] more personally for me just because of

[1:09:30] the I think it would be funny

[1:09:32] and I could pretend to be robocup it

[1:09:34] just they wouldn't survive your driving

[1:09:35] oh no

[1:09:38] dude you'd rip the shifter right out of

[1:09:40] that column it would just rip off in

[1:09:42] your hand the dude 365 continuing the

[1:09:44] tradition of donating to Mark's

[1:09:46] washboard abs yeah thank you by the way

[1:09:48] thank you Tim thank you Deb and uh Deb

[1:09:51] and Joe and thank you noodles extra MSG

[1:09:54] Rick and now we're dealing with the dude

[1:09:57] 365. are you gonna get washboard abs

[1:10:03] so I was looking at his uh his Avatar uh

[1:10:06] did I am I gonna get washboard Rams I

[1:10:08] already have washboard yeah that's why

[1:10:09] you lost your hair all your teeth you

[1:10:11] can't see my six-pack I'm sorry eight

[1:10:13] pack under all this hair that I'm

[1:10:14] wearing on my chest

[1:10:16] that's by that's on purpose because

[1:10:18] really I'm having trouble with all our

[1:10:20] female fans lately recognizing me I'll

[1:10:23] go places and they're like they call the

[1:10:26] cops because they think I'm a serial

[1:10:27] killer

[1:10:28] there's this creepy guy walking around

[1:10:30] the

[1:10:31] the ice cream shop again the Cloudy view

[1:10:35] uh for ten dollars thank you cloudy

[1:10:37] gotta add them sponsors we are working

[1:10:38] on it we are will we are going to try to

[1:10:41] get an actual outside of Dell we're

[1:10:43] probably trying to get an automotive

[1:10:44] base sponsor this here thank you though

[1:10:46] we are doing our best to make sure this

[1:10:49] channel still continues to make

[1:10:50] Financial sense I'm going to need a

[1:10:52] sponsor for all my uh Scoops yeah

[1:10:54] foreign sponsorship that would be my

[1:10:57] dream no it had to be a real ice cream

[1:10:58] place that's like corporate no I

[1:11:00] wouldn't want to do corporate I'd want

[1:11:02] to do something like so my old man is a

[1:11:05] ice cream connoisseur like a genuine ice

[1:11:08] cream connoisseur and he will tell you

[1:11:09] about the different ways they're made

[1:11:11] and what places he should go to or what

[1:11:13] places you should you should go to

[1:11:15] apparently his favorite place in this

[1:11:18] area is graters which is surprising oh

[1:11:20] yeah yeah he loves the uh the one

[1:11:22] graders location in like Northbrook I

[1:11:24] don't have to head over there yeah all

[1:11:25] right Oleg thank you for the twenty

[1:11:27] dollars thank you uh Graham Daughtry

[1:11:31] thank you for the ten dollars I have a

[1:11:32] launcher and manual and love it I have

[1:11:34] an opportunity to buy a new RS3 and MSRP

[1:11:37] do uh should I do it I can afford it

[1:11:40] will primarily be my daily

[1:11:42] if you can afford the new RS3 is a

[1:11:44] badass car as a daily not as a track car

[1:11:46] but it's a daily uh I'm behind here

[1:11:49] thanks Andrew for the 10. I really

[1:11:51] appreciate it thanks for sticking in

[1:11:53] here and then of course Oleg thanks for

[1:11:55] the the twenty dollars

[1:11:57] um and that your your avatar has

[1:12:01] a really Kick-Ass motorcycle jacket that

[1:12:04] I would look good in

[1:12:06] I'm sorry and uh Graham let's do it

[1:12:11] sorry what's what's the RS3 should you

[1:12:14] buy should he buy an RS3 he can afford

[1:12:16] it

[1:12:17] would you say it's a substantial enough

[1:12:19] upgrade over on a launch around yes I

[1:12:22] agree the RS3 the engine I don't care

[1:12:24] about anything else but the engine is

[1:12:25] great you get it I've this is one car I

[1:12:27] haven't told you about that I thought

[1:12:29] about getting an RS3 yes because because

[1:12:32] the engine I really love that car for

[1:12:34] whatever reason is like it's like the

[1:12:36] same reason I like the type R because

[1:12:37] it's a normal car with an amazing engine

[1:12:39] and you can do everything with it it's a

[1:12:41] little You could argue it's a little

[1:12:42] small and a very expensive for what it

[1:12:45] is but it is a special car if you can

[1:12:46] afford it get it in [ __ ] green lime

[1:12:49] green and then tear it up come peel down

[1:12:52] my neighborhood and drive through the

[1:12:53] grass and then flip me off like an Audi

[1:12:56] driver and I'll salute you sir you know

[1:12:58] on the track it's a bit numb I will say

[1:13:00] you will feel like you've lost some feel

[1:13:02] who cares yeah you have the engine the

[1:13:05] five the five cylinder is pretty

[1:13:06] spectacular yeah just put some stinky

[1:13:08] tires on there and figure out how to get

[1:13:09] more cambers and you're not driving it

[1:13:12] on the track you're driving down the

[1:13:14] street at 200 miles an hour

[1:13:17] uh

[1:13:18] tsukia for twenty dollars thank you for

[1:13:21] the twenty dollars and Graham hopefully

[1:13:22] that answers your question when are we

[1:13:25] getting a Lotus Emir review I don't know

[1:13:27] if so when things have an amazing

[1:13:29] content one day I I've already talked

[1:13:32] about this in this live stream once like

[1:13:35] a year and a half ago a year ago we

[1:13:38] approached Lotus they said yes then they

[1:13:40] said no and then they tried to get into

[1:13:41] the car in three separate times and now

[1:13:43] they only have two in the entire United

[1:13:44] States on the west coast I'm not going

[1:13:46] to California to do

[1:13:48] car

[1:13:49] I'm not I'm not going out of my way I'm

[1:13:54] gonna drag you in my luggage to go and

[1:13:55] now I just don't care yeah I think it's

[1:13:57] getting burned three separate times by

[1:13:59] lotus trying to put this together it

[1:14:00] means I just don't care as much

[1:14:02] um that's the thing like I don't want to

[1:14:04] do it unless they want to do it and they

[1:14:06] don't want to do it so I'm not gonna

[1:14:07] waste my time I got other I got the I

[1:14:10] got dibs on the new rogue update

[1:14:12] [Laughter]

[1:14:15] um the other part of it too is I think

[1:14:17] the thing that burned us is we had

[1:14:18] friends who worked at the Lotus dealer

[1:14:20] here and hearing what they were like to

[1:14:21] deal with from a corporate perspective

[1:14:23] you know you're like Gibran good good

[1:14:27] dude you know loves cars we'll put up

[1:14:29] with a lot of [ __ ] but you know he's in

[1:14:31] a position because he owns multiple cars

[1:14:33] despite buying a car 100 Grand you know

[1:14:35] he has deeper Pockets than that that for

[1:14:37] him if it goes down it's not a big deal

[1:14:39] if you're a regular person who's put

[1:14:41] together his his ducats to buy uh a

[1:14:45] Lotus of mirrors that final like this is

[1:14:48] the car I always wanted you're buying a

[1:14:50] hundred thousand dollar car that you're

[1:14:51] not going to be able to get parts for

[1:14:52] your your dealer experience is gonna be

[1:14:54] a joke if you even have a dealer locally

[1:14:57] it's gonna be a huge pain in the ass

[1:14:58] like it's sad because I love the way the

[1:15:00] car looks I everyone I've met who's

[1:15:03] driven it says it's you know navora it

[1:15:05] means it drives great

[1:15:07] you know it's hard to be like yeah buy

[1:15:09] it unless you have a high tolerance for

[1:15:11] BS

[1:15:12] yeah that would be like my fourth car or

[1:15:14] fifth car I think if I had to have one

[1:15:16] and I wouldn't care if it broke because

[1:15:17] I would never drive it

[1:15:20] mk3504 thank you for the twenty dollars

[1:15:22] I have learned a tremendous amount from

[1:15:24] this channel love you

[1:15:26] um that was the point of this right is

[1:15:27] to teach people things about cars

[1:15:30] and uh

[1:15:32] sorry

[1:15:34] Suka thank you for the 20 and the the

[1:15:37] the Lotus of mirror review I and when I

[1:15:39] do when this does happen by the way to

[1:15:41] be serious if they if we do reconnect

[1:15:43] with them and they're gonna willing to

[1:15:45] give us resources other than just being

[1:15:46] like fly in your own dime to California

[1:15:49] and do a great video for us so we can

[1:15:51] Market this car if it's not that I will

[1:15:53] do it because I really do I love The

[1:15:55] Vora I'm sure I'm gonna love the Amira

[1:15:57] for what it is

[1:15:59] um and in terms of

[1:16:01] mk3504 I've he's he's obviously learned

[1:16:05] a lot because I'm on this channel

[1:16:07] thank you I appreciate it oh my God

[1:16:10] because of me or it was everything

[1:16:13] unless they're speed routing through

[1:16:14] this because we have 10 billion

[1:16:15] questions and I promise that I wouldn't

[1:16:16] be here till the end of time Jonathan a

[1:16:19] boot for 10 11 Canadian time to treat

[1:16:22] myself with a toy option one Audi R8

[1:16:24] with gated manual would like your

[1:16:26] opinion V8 versus V10 in terms of value

[1:16:29] proposition experience option two Lotus

[1:16:31] Samira would you look at that another

[1:16:33] Lotus Amira question Audi V10 R8 V10

[1:16:36] done deal easy that car is [ __ ]

[1:16:39] amazing the engine

[1:16:41] whatever deficiencies that car has with

[1:16:44] interior and all the other stuff that

[1:16:46] that engine is a special experience and

[1:16:48] as soon as you wind it out on a road and

[1:16:50] you're cruising around you're not going

[1:16:51] to care about anything else that 3.5

[1:16:54] liter Toyota engine doesn't matter how

[1:16:57] they make the exhaust sound is not going

[1:16:59] to match it nor is a V8 although the V8

[1:17:02] is also very good and the V8 and the V10

[1:17:05] both go click clack when you shift

[1:17:06] because it's gated shifter I think the

[1:17:08] R8 with the manual is cooler than the

[1:17:10] Lotus Amira by far I mean maybe it

[1:17:13] doesn't look as cool but I don't know

[1:17:15] yeah I mean they're both really good

[1:17:16] looking cars but yeah the V10 is going

[1:17:19] to hold its value anybody that has money

[1:17:20] is going to want a V10 or if you've got

[1:17:23] a coupe with a manuals V10

[1:17:25] you could put miles on it it probably

[1:17:27] sold that's all this value it's just

[1:17:29] going to be a maintenance [ __ ] for sure

[1:17:30] Andrew Ellis

[1:17:34] um thank you again for that thank you

[1:17:35] for the five dollars would you care to

[1:17:37] share how you capture such high quality

[1:17:39] audio it's a eyed all our audio is AI

[1:17:41] yeah it's all yeah it's perfect yeah

[1:17:44] we're not even here people yeah we've

[1:17:46] been Auto generated by the Auto industry

[1:17:48] and the Computing Computing industry

[1:17:50] right now we're on a high compute

[1:17:52] cluster running at 20 teraflops a second

[1:17:55] the way we capture audio is through a

[1:17:58] lot of effort this [ __ ] is like I

[1:18:00] need to capture audio he's out there

[1:18:01] with a microphone for like four hours

[1:18:03] he's like Jack more I need more like

[1:18:06] it's see Jack has the idea in his head

[1:18:08] of what he wants to do but because I

[1:18:10] have to edit it I know what it takes

[1:18:12] well mostly what it takes to try to get

[1:18:14] stuff done and when you actually have to

[1:18:16] do the work of recording it I see one

[1:18:18] Jack's on the card going back and forth

[1:18:20] I just see the life sucking out of him

[1:18:22] like Jack I need you to do it again he

[1:18:23] drives by like so angry just like I

[1:18:26] don't wanna do it again so it is it's a

[1:18:30] combination of so here's the trick I'm

[1:18:32] gonna tell you this you need to have

[1:18:34] microphones that are high or low

[1:18:38] sensitive look have a lower sensitivity

[1:18:40] that don't blow out if you're if you

[1:18:44] have a microphone that's too sensitive

[1:18:45] it's going to clip whenever you do

[1:18:47] anything so you need to make sure that

[1:18:48] and they always need to be at the lowest

[1:18:50] setting possible once you have all of

[1:18:53] that you need to make sure that you have

[1:18:54] good stereo Separation on them so it's

[1:18:57] not just a Monaro is fine but if you

[1:18:59] have a monorail mic then you need stereo

[1:19:01] mic something to left and right and cut

[1:19:03] it together and then really a lot of it

[1:19:05] once you have the recording a lot of it

[1:19:07] is just editing you have to be creative

[1:19:09] enough of like how do I splice it

[1:19:10] together and you'll see this Integra

[1:19:12] video coming up

[1:19:14] um I can't play it for you right now but

[1:19:15] when you see the entire video look at

[1:19:17] the beginning sequence and you'll see if

[1:19:20] you Stripped Away and just listened to

[1:19:21] the audio it's just a lot of clever

[1:19:23] editing of like okay I have all these

[1:19:25] sound clips and I'm gonna puzzle piece

[1:19:27] them in how do I get them to sweep over

[1:19:29] how do I get them into rear channel

[1:19:31] because it's YouTube's two channel like

[1:19:32] how do I get them to sweep to the back

[1:19:34] channels if you have surround sound like

[1:19:35] to give that effect of spatial less and

[1:19:38] I also started cheating and using a

[1:19:39] spatial mic as well which really helps

[1:19:41] that experience but anyway think in your

[1:19:44] head of what you want to see and what

[1:19:47] you want to hear and how you would put

[1:19:48] the sound in and it doesn't have to be

[1:19:50] one-to-one it can be like creative and

[1:19:52] that's that's how it works I'm not

[1:19:54] saying I'm the best person at doing it

[1:19:55] but a lot of it is just how do I make

[1:19:58] something that's not the greatest into

[1:20:00] something way better and that's how I

[1:20:01] approach it Merrick D for fifty dollars

[1:20:04] Mary thank you very much for the fifty

[1:20:05] dollars love you guys my favorite sub on

[1:20:08] YouTube when will you review the new

[1:20:09] Lexus TX

[1:20:12] I don't know that just got announced in

[1:20:14] it yeah typically I mean we're we try to

[1:20:17] be on everyone Alexis

[1:20:19] um press launches we'll definitely go to

[1:20:21] that one

[1:20:22] um if you have any you know huge

[1:20:25] questions about it find Mark or i on

[1:20:27] Instagram and hit us up and we will do

[1:20:29] our best to make sure we address those

[1:20:31] questions on our review

[1:20:33] and again Merrick thank you very much

[1:20:35] for the fifty dollars Merrick it's not

[1:20:37] marriage

[1:20:38] excuse me why don't you use it properly

[1:20:40] you don't ever slob jeans cooking over

[1:20:43] there

[1:20:44] it's Mark his name's Mark if you wanted

[1:20:48] to ruin it for him oh hey Mark hey Mark

[1:20:51] no thanks man I appreciate uh as soon as

[1:20:53] we get it usually we didn't we're

[1:20:54] probably not gonna I'm not gonna go to

[1:20:55] the launch for it but personally for me

[1:20:58] I'm really interested in it because the

[1:21:00] grand Highlander is kind of like it's

[1:21:01] cool but I'd like to have the Lexus part

[1:21:04] of it so I think it's going to be great

[1:21:05] especially when they actually get real

[1:21:06] what your big complaint was what can you

[1:21:09] do with standard dampers on the grand

[1:21:10] Highlander you're stuck with

[1:21:12] non-adaptive dampers and that's

[1:21:13] something the Lexus is gonna fix this

[1:21:15] ride quality hopefully it doesn't wallow

[1:21:17] and Bob I mean even it does it'll have a

[1:21:19] comfort mode but it'll ten to one it's

[1:21:21] gonna ride a lot better than the grand

[1:21:22] Islanders so I'm kind of excited for

[1:21:24] that Michael turning thank you for the

[1:21:25] five dollars Dale mcloyd will when will

[1:21:28] you review the cx-90

[1:21:30] we have put this will be the longest

[1:21:32] cx90 video that anyone puts out with

[1:21:34] like four hours interviews I just

[1:21:36] finished shooting b-roll in a second

[1:21:37] cx90 because the first one we got sent

[1:21:39] was a pre-pro and there's something

[1:21:41] wrong with it see I mean we we've

[1:21:44] already reviewed it we've we've shot the

[1:21:46] video now it's just up to us editing it

[1:21:48] our goal is to have it out sometime this

[1:21:50] month so the the story was is Jack went

[1:21:52] to the launch he got all the interviews

[1:21:53] that's what he focused his time on and

[1:21:54] there's a lot

[1:21:55] and then we're like we need the car

[1:21:57] separately so we could do it so we got

[1:21:59] the car and it it wasn't right there was

[1:22:01] something wrong with it and we know this

[1:22:03] is a pre-pro card yes so it's not

[1:22:06] accurate to the car we told them like

[1:22:07] we're not gonna do a video on this car

[1:22:09] because we don't want them to we don't

[1:22:11] want to hurt the car if that was just a

[1:22:13] one-off so we waited to get a second one

[1:22:15] which unfortunately took like what a

[1:22:17] month and a half now yeah yeah so we're

[1:22:19] like now we're way behind because we had

[1:22:20] to wait for another one and Jack says

[1:22:22] there's some of the same stuff but it's

[1:22:24] better overall right yeah it's not the

[1:22:26] the other car was massively messed up

[1:22:28] okay all right so that that's the story

[1:22:29] behind it you'll see the video soon

[1:22:31] enough our London for twenty dollars as

[1:22:34] I'm trying to accelerate through these

[1:22:36] questions because we have so many of

[1:22:37] them uh how's the engine in your X7

[1:22:40] holding up any reliability issues our

[1:22:42] London thank you for the twenty dollars

[1:22:44] I'm considered trading my gheebly for an

[1:22:47] m550i which I believe has the same

[1:22:49] engine don't worry about it as long as

[1:22:50] you get the m550i from the up the last

[1:22:53] update yeah because there was the the V8

[1:22:55] that

[1:22:56] didn't it's like technical update too

[1:22:59] when they went to technical update three

[1:23:00] which was started in 2020 I think it

[1:23:03] might have been in the Five series

[1:23:04] before that I've had zero problems with

[1:23:06] the engine zero problems yeah it's got

[1:23:09] 42 000 miles on it so yes it's going to

[1:23:12] be expensive to repair I will warn you

[1:23:15] that but so far this last updated V8

[1:23:18] before they went to the hybrid one uh

[1:23:21] because they just went to the hybrid one

[1:23:22] M60 whatever it's been solid and most

[1:23:25] people I haven't seen any complaints

[1:23:26] about it at all so don't I would say if

[1:23:28] you're worried about a Ghibli versus a

[1:23:31] yeah zero issue

[1:23:34] um Conor McMahon for five dollars what

[1:23:37] do you think about the 2012 20 2013 Boss

[1:23:41] 302 Mustang would you consider doing a

[1:23:43] review of one as the most track capable

[1:23:46] live axle Mustang I love

[1:23:49] the boss 302. I know you you always I

[1:23:52] love that car I also love the

[1:23:56] 2013-2014

[1:23:57] GT500 with 665 horsepower that does not

[1:24:01] drive properly those cars are not the

[1:24:03] best cars in the world but they ooze

[1:24:05] charm if we ever had one

[1:24:07] where the owner was all right with me

[1:24:08] making my kind of video

[1:24:12] but yes I would love love to do a boss

[1:24:17] 302 or really

[1:24:19] any performance

[1:24:22] version of a 13 or 12 Mustang yeah you

[1:24:25] got an affinity towards these American

[1:24:27] cars man like these muscle cars like

[1:24:29] that I drove the Boss 302 and I'd agree

[1:24:31] it's a cool car I'm sure I'd be just

[1:24:33] curious because I drove it when I was in

[1:24:35] Era yeah so I don't know how well it's

[1:24:37] going to age because now all the new all

[1:24:39] the new tangs are like they're so fast

[1:24:41] so I don't know is it still gonna be fun

[1:24:43] is it gonna be good if they're they I

[1:24:46] don't know what Kobe did the prices are

[1:24:47] well they're like 30 grand for 30 grand

[1:24:48] that's a lot of yeah

[1:24:50] the GT500 I think would be hilarious

[1:24:52] because it's a bad car yeah yeah just I

[1:24:54] think from a comedy perspective it would

[1:24:56] be funny uh Christopher Keach I'm glad

[1:24:59] he joined the loogie story Mark oh yes

[1:25:02] thank you sir I put my heart into that

[1:25:04] story uh

[1:25:06] Krone 151 for 20 long time patreon

[1:25:09] subscriber I've been using your car

[1:25:11] reviews lately

[1:25:13] since I have two friends in the market

[1:25:15] for automobiles thanks for all the hard

[1:25:16] work hopefully they find Value in these

[1:25:18] videos man yeah and thank you Osa for

[1:25:21] being a patreon subscriber that's deeply

[1:25:22] helpful yes thank you so much really

[1:25:24] appreciate it

[1:25:26] uh Darian Mayers for twenty dollars I

[1:25:29] bought a 991 career T CX-5 and now a

[1:25:31] cx50 because of you guys referring to

[1:25:34] the crarity specifically on paper the

[1:25:36] 992 doesn't seem like that much of an

[1:25:37] upgrade so I'm curious to know what Mark

[1:25:39] likes so much about the 992 versus the

[1:25:41] 991 I'm a Porsche guy so you know I'm

[1:25:44] not probably the best person to ask why

[1:25:46] do you like the new interior or new car

[1:25:48] versus the old car well a lot of it is

[1:25:50] interior exterior styling I I I I know

[1:25:54] that's not a really great explanation

[1:25:56] because you can speak to the mechanical

[1:25:58] part of what's different better than I

[1:25:59] can because I don't remember they're

[1:26:02] literally it's it's a portion of my

[1:26:04] Kodak my code activated I mean how much

[1:26:07] different is it mechanically

[1:26:09] I mean honestly because it's not the

[1:26:12] double Wishbone car like the GT3 the

[1:26:13] next one yeah

[1:26:17] it's probably 10 15 better to drive

[1:26:21] maybe from a mechanical perspective

[1:26:23] objectively the one place that's worse

[1:26:24] is actually the gearbox I think I think

[1:26:28] the bushings because they took the

[1:26:30] mechanism out of the GT3 from the 991

[1:26:34] Carrera T but all they did for the 992

[1:26:36] was shorten the gear knob the gearbox

[1:26:39] isn't as good but mechanically again

[1:26:40] lace generation dampers it's the

[1:26:43] iterative learning process of you know

[1:26:45] just making a car for a long period of

[1:26:46] time it's like when we drove the 3.8 GT3

[1:26:49] and the four liter GT3 bumping 991s you

[1:26:53] know could you say it was 50 Grand

[1:26:55] better no but was it a lot better yes

[1:26:58] because the damper technology got better

[1:26:59] the iterative design the the

[1:27:02] the steering tuning the engine was

[1:27:04] better it's like subtle changes to make

[1:27:07] it a better

[1:27:08] product are there I just I don't know if

[1:27:10] I so to be honest it's not worth it no

[1:27:13] God no I mean if you were if you were

[1:27:14] trying to decide between both of them at

[1:27:16] the same time then yeah the 992 is

[1:27:18] better but the 992 is mostly better

[1:27:19] because to your point it's an iterative

[1:27:21] a little bit better mechanically just

[1:27:24] overall but the styling for me is

[1:27:27] objective and the interior is mostly

[1:27:28] objective the interior is better the

[1:27:30] layout is much better on the 992 it's

[1:27:32] more cohesive it feels like a more

[1:27:34] special space less generic but that's

[1:27:36] not worth dumping that car forever a new

[1:27:38] one over that you know you're Cross

[1:27:40] Shopping it for like some really high

[1:27:42] horsepower variant 911 sure but I don't

[1:27:45] think the 992 is worth the Delta over a

[1:27:49] 991 career the only time the 992 is is a

[1:27:53] big upgrade is in the GT3 because of the

[1:27:55] suspension it's a much GT3 RS right yeah

[1:27:58] you're talking about but you have to go

[1:27:59] way high up and so to answer your

[1:28:01] question you don't have to don't get rid

[1:28:03] of your cards it's going to be the same

[1:28:04] thing for you Chef Randy Marsh for ten

[1:28:07] dollars glad to see my two favorite

[1:28:08] takumis back on the live stream horse

[1:28:11] yeah I forgot how long these were too

[1:28:14] yeah I know I know my deodorants failing

[1:28:17] again

[1:28:18] what danger to manifold wasn't that the

[1:28:21] uh yeah that's the Fast and the Furious

[1:28:23] movie by the way you guys should

[1:28:24] definitely check out that new Fast and

[1:28:25] the Furious movie you know a stroke well

[1:28:28] yeah I'd go in with a bottle of Etc and

[1:28:30] ready

[1:28:32] uh Bruce view if you started your own

[1:28:35] car brand what would it be called what

[1:28:37] would your first model be it'd be some

[1:28:39] alpha numeric [ __ ] be like

[1:28:41] azbd4 what was your first model B A zbd

[1:28:45] would it be I like that question SUV car

[1:28:48] Cub CUV for sure it would be all touch

[1:28:51] screens because as we just found out

[1:28:52] from a designer people like touch

[1:28:54] everything yeah we don't even need to do

[1:28:55] our reasons it would use the Unreal

[1:28:57] Engine for every everything would have

[1:28:59] the Unreal Engine yeah well at least the

[1:29:00] marketing part of it no no everything

[1:29:02] you don't need Don real you can just say

[1:29:04] it has it

[1:29:05] you know what I mean like just just say

[1:29:07] it's got the owner you would have swipe

[1:29:08] to steer because that's the next it

[1:29:10] would have it would definitely have a

[1:29:11] screen and the steering wheel with a

[1:29:13] yoke it would have a the biggest Grill

[1:29:15] possible yeah it would just it would be

[1:29:17] no the grill would be a screen that way

[1:29:20] you can change the grills oh yeah you

[1:29:22] know you can change the grills digitally

[1:29:23] you don't be I don't have to be stuck

[1:29:24] with one Grill I mean you don't need a

[1:29:27] physical Grill anymore Jack and it would

[1:29:29] be like ten thousand pounds

[1:29:30] well to start you could get the weight

[1:29:35] package too that's the thing like you

[1:29:37] could add well in your case you could

[1:29:39] have the bullion Club package where it

[1:29:41] just adds gold bars in the back

[1:29:43] anyway that's and it would definitely

[1:29:45] have exterior speakers that someone

[1:29:47] brought that up that would definitely

[1:29:48] have exterior exterior speakers for sure

[1:29:51] so people can hear you talking your

[1:29:52] business calls you can just hear me

[1:29:54] outside

[1:29:58] yeah you're already integrated speaking

[1:30:01] of amazing cars you know the car that we

[1:30:03] saw in Japan that I still dream about oh

[1:30:05] here we go the Alphard the Alfred the

[1:30:08] Alfred the Alfred van is tremendous and

[1:30:11] if you own one I'm jealous all right

[1:30:13] send it to the US I will dominate the

[1:30:16] world with that uh Ryan Howard or rain

[1:30:19] Howard sorry thank you for the twenty

[1:30:21] dollars thank you sir AJ for 220 how was

[1:30:24] the X7

[1:30:25] great

[1:30:26] uh we answered that question no I I

[1:30:28] honestly I I like it I just don't like

[1:30:30] how much it costs that's my only

[1:30:32] complaint is it's all it's a lot to run

[1:30:34] it's expensive in terms of fuel uh

[1:30:36] consumables are [ __ ] insane did we

[1:30:39] talk about the tires Jack yeah they cost

[1:30:41] as much as your Z06 Corvette tires

[1:30:46] they last like 50 like 50 000 miles yeah

[1:30:48] on an exode which is like horrifying in

[1:30:51] the insurance my insurance went up to

[1:30:53] 2500 every six months

[1:30:57] X7 is more than on a Z06 I have to get

[1:31:00] rid of this thing just purely based on

[1:31:02] that I gotta actually call other

[1:31:03] insurance companies because that it went

[1:31:05] from if you go to the general with Shaq

[1:31:07] yeah I'm gonna have to go to Shack I'm

[1:31:09] just gonna drop the insurance off of it

[1:31:10] and uh yeah I'm gonna tell an Ultima

[1:31:14] behind me just or no tow it with the

[1:31:16] Ultima I should

[1:31:18] um yeah that no that car is going away I

[1:31:20] can't I can't I just can't afford to

[1:31:22] keep it Raphael for ten dollars in

[1:31:24] September my car will be three years old

[1:31:25] I was planning to replace it with a

[1:31:27] Lexus is 500 but I'm loving the Integra

[1:31:29] Type S what would you pick

[1:31:32] I can't we can't talk about how the

[1:31:33] Integra Type S drives yet but I'm sure

[1:31:36] yeah that's that's a tough call do you

[1:31:39] want a V8 or do you want a manual

[1:31:40] gearbox which you know do you want a

[1:31:43] driver's car or do you want a V8 boat

[1:31:44] that's what you got to decide

[1:31:46] man I can't they're totally two

[1:31:48] different cars they're not even the same

[1:31:50] you want drivers boat with so you want

[1:31:53] driver's car manual you know Nimble

[1:31:56] you've focused in the driving part but

[1:31:58] also a good daily or do you want the the

[1:32:01] type S is not a luxury car so if you're

[1:32:03] expecting it to be like an is-500 in

[1:32:06] terms of like that luxury car thing

[1:32:08] that's not what it is

[1:32:09] so yeah

[1:32:12] get them both keep them both I think

[1:32:14] you'd love them both I mean if you can

[1:32:16] afford to have them both do it do you

[1:32:18] want a manual do you want a V8 yes yes

[1:32:20] that's the big thing if you want a

[1:32:21] manual car then of course the Integra is

[1:32:22] going to be way better forget full foot

[1:32:24] for five dollars forgetful foot good to

[1:32:27] see you again love the 987 review

[1:32:28] looking forward to the 97.2 we'll

[1:32:31] probably do that in full

[1:32:34] um also picked up my first s2001 owner

[1:32:36] for 24 000 US Dollars bargain

[1:32:38] congratulations forgetful foot hopefully

[1:32:40] you love your s2000.

[1:32:43] yeah that that should be a a fun car for

[1:32:46] you to experience uh Ginger Herman he is

[1:32:49] team almond butter mark thank you for

[1:32:51] the almond butter way more expensive

[1:32:52] than the plebeian or plebeian peanut

[1:32:55] butter peasants I know I should know as

[1:32:58] I'm coming from a fancy gentleman I I

[1:33:00] should have known coming from a fancy

[1:33:02] gentleman such as yourself yeah the

[1:33:03] almond butter is from Trader Joe's

[1:33:05] though and I get this the one that's

[1:33:06] extra salt or I guess it's sausage

[1:33:09] that's I think that's that doesn't extra

[1:33:11] salty but it's a taste it tastes extra

[1:33:13] salty I like it because it actually has

[1:33:15] flavors that's what you have wardens

[1:33:16] cans throughout your year yeah I just I

[1:33:18] just pour it I use it I don't even buy

[1:33:20] salt I buy the water softener salt and

[1:33:21] put it in my food now the pellets

[1:33:25] God it's like just a horrifying picture

[1:33:27] Morgan asked for fifty dollars Morgan

[1:33:29] thank you very much which is a better

[1:33:31] buy a new manual Camaro SS convertible

[1:33:34] convertible or a Porsche Boxster SS

[1:33:37] starts at 47 Boxster starts at 70. seems

[1:33:40] like the Camaro on paper is a lot more

[1:33:41] car for the money interested in your

[1:33:43] thoughts

[1:33:45] man

[1:33:46] I don't think the Camaro is a great con

[1:33:48] I know you want a convertible

[1:33:50] um

[1:33:51] Boxster

[1:33:53] I would take the Boxster I hate to be

[1:33:55] that guy if you want a Camaro loss I

[1:33:57] mean it depends if you really want a

[1:33:59] manual

[1:34:00] um

[1:34:02] if you can afford a Boxster oh they're

[1:34:05] not even this they're not even like

[1:34:06] comparable cars the box is really 70 by

[1:34:08] the time you're done it's like in the

[1:34:09] Box you're so Nimble and like light and

[1:34:12] like quick feeling and the Camaro is

[1:34:13] going to be like a boat with a

[1:34:15] convertible it's just gonna be like V8

[1:34:17] muscle I I don't see them being the same

[1:34:19] I mean if you're if cost is not an issue

[1:34:21] you buy the Porsche 10 out of 10 times

[1:34:24] save money and get a C8 yeah but that

[1:34:27] looks it looks horrible I agree like

[1:34:29] this the narrow body car does not look

[1:34:31] good you get a C7 convertible with a

[1:34:32] manual yeah that makes more sense yeah

[1:34:34] if you're already looking at a Camaro SS

[1:34:36] convertible why don't you just get a you

[1:34:38] can get a C7 Coupe pull off the target

[1:34:40] top and you have a convertible

[1:34:43] experience with a V8 it's a better car

[1:34:46] and a manual he's probably doesn't he's

[1:34:48] probably not in the lawn chairs like you

[1:34:49] are no you know my weakness my weakness

[1:34:52] for launchers

[1:34:54] um I know man that's that's a hard one I

[1:34:55] I wish I knew more I would definitely

[1:34:58] choose the Porsche

[1:35:00] it's not a better value but it's a

[1:35:02] better car yes for sure thank you though

[1:35:05] Morgan I appreciate it man thank you or

[1:35:07] if you're female or male or thank you as

[1:35:10] a human being a human being right sorry

[1:35:12] I don't I don't want to cause any static

[1:35:14] with people uh and we already answered

[1:35:16] that one hey how old is Jack I'm b58

[1:35:18] years old this guy he just turned 40. uh

[1:35:22] rev Nation for two dollars how do you

[1:35:24] grow

[1:35:26] Ain't No Way Jack is a Zoomer jack is

[1:35:28] not a Zoomer that I can tell you

[1:35:31] did I just lose that question whether

[1:35:33] the question yeah oh I probably how do

[1:35:35] you crap [ __ ] sorry man oh that was my

[1:35:39] fault

[1:35:40] the question was how do you grow a

[1:35:42] channel if you're new uh that was the

[1:35:45] question yes that's all I remember about

[1:35:47] the question

[1:35:49] um how do you grow a channel if you're

[1:35:50] new that is hard it's not like it used

[1:35:53] to be everybody's gonna tell you oh you

[1:35:54] just got to be unique

[1:35:56] yeah persistence I honestly I don't know

[1:35:59] we're just sort of it depends on what

[1:36:01] you're doing right like it depends on

[1:36:03] what you're doing such a broad question

[1:36:04] how much uh

[1:36:06] if it's car related

[1:36:09] it's going to take a lot of work a lot

[1:36:11] of work you're gonna have to start with

[1:36:12] your own cars you're gonna have to start

[1:36:14] with borrowed cars or something you're

[1:36:15] gonna have to have a unique angle that

[1:36:17] nobody else has or you're stuck doing

[1:36:20] The Tick Tock Instagram reels thing

[1:36:23] where you're trying to churn out

[1:36:25] something in a minute and then it's got

[1:36:26] to be different again like eye-catching

[1:36:28] funny or

[1:36:30] um from the YouTube perspective you're

[1:36:32] gonna have to devote a lot of time and a

[1:36:35] lot of Heartache to try to get out as

[1:36:37] many videos as possible probably four

[1:36:40] videos a week

[1:36:42] um I don't know what you do

[1:38:37] gt350r thank you for keeping the dream

[1:38:39] alive through school saving and

[1:38:41] delivering the best car content on

[1:38:43] YouTube congratulations on your purchase

[1:38:45] line that's really it's such a badass

[1:38:46] car we just had we just talked about

[1:38:48] this car for like the past three days

[1:38:50] Jack would just randomly have outbursts

[1:38:53] man I would love a G2 just like randomly

[1:38:56] he would say it I'm like dude what the

[1:38:57] [ __ ] are you first in Europe because we

[1:38:59] were working on the Mustang project yeah

[1:39:00] that's true again it triggered all that

[1:39:02] I mean I it is it's probably one of the

[1:39:06] most memorable cars I've ever driven in

[1:39:08] recent like modern history in the past

[1:39:10] seven years we worked with a Ford

[1:39:13] performance engineer we worked with

[1:39:15] everyone who worked on the car but I did

[1:39:17] the shop segment with the Ford

[1:39:18] performance and our Ford engineer who

[1:39:19] worked on the Mustang Dark Horse and he

[1:39:21] pulled me aside on one of the best

[1:39:22] driving car we've ever built is a gt350r

[1:39:26] that car is so special it blows up you

[1:39:29] might blow up your car Lane and if you

[1:39:31] do I'm sorry but at least you have a

[1:39:34] badass car in the meantime just make

[1:39:35] sure you have some engine stockpiled

[1:39:37] yeah that's what I told the engineer I'm

[1:39:39] like you got to buy that car and two

[1:39:40] crate engines to go along with it like

[1:39:41] brake pads

[1:39:43] but yeah I mean it's it's still still an

[1:39:46] amazing experience and now you know

[1:39:48] internally that it blows up they're like

[1:39:50] yep that car has got some problems you

[1:39:52] just roll the dice well in five years

[1:39:54] when they don't have to warranty them

[1:39:55] anymore they're like oh man we made some

[1:39:58] mistakes on that one
