How I Went From Broke to Millionaire Trader
45sThe classic rags-to-riches narrative with a direct appeal to the audience's curiosity about the unknown backstory creates a strong emotional hook.
▶ Play Clip"The title promises a personal story, and the video delivers exactly that—a genuine rags-to-riches narrative, though it's padded with motivational filler and a long call to action."
In this introductory episode of a 30-day trading mentorship series, the creator shares his personal journey from poverty to becoming a millionaire trader. He emphasizes that his success was not due to a secret strategy but to building a disciplined, mechanical trading system after years of failure and emotional trading.
The creator introduces the series, explaining that he wants to share his full story to build trust and show what's possible through trading.
His mother grew up in a tiny village in China with no clean water or electricity. She moved to Singapore, but life remained difficult.
His family was very poor; parents skipped meals so the children could eat, and he was on a government financial assistance scheme, which led to embarrassment and bullying at school.
After being laughed at for being poor, he promised his mother he would become rich so his future kids would never worry about money, and he would help others escape poverty.
Watching his father work three jobs until age 65 became his driving force. He knew he had to find a different path to change his family's situation.
At 17, he wrote down a goal to acquire $1 million by age 30, inspired by 'Think and Grow Rich', and pasted it on his wall for daily motivation.
He started working as a waiter, saved every dollar, bought books, and opened a small trading account, dedicating himself to mastering trading.
He turned $500 into $8,000 quickly, but lost it all in one trade due to poor risk management and emotional control.
For years, he repeated a loop: finding a new strategy, getting excited, blowing accounts, and failing funding challenges. He was gambling, not trading.
In his first year, he blew seven trading accounts, failed six funding challenges, and lost over $10,000, including $2,000 of his father's money for school fees.
After hitting rock bottom, he realized the common denominator in all his failures was himself—his lack of discipline and inability to follow a plan.
He built a mechanical trading system with clear rules for entry, exit, and risk, which removed emotion from his trading decisions.
Since then, he has made over $3 million in trading profits, documented on YouTube, helped over 1,500 students get funded, and retired his father.
His success came not from a secret strategy, but from building a system that forces proper execution regardless of feelings.
He encourages viewers that their current situation doesn't define them if they change habits and standards. Success is built on small, private decisions.
The creator's story demonstrates that trading success is achievable through discipline and a systematic approach, not just finding the right strategy. He positions the upcoming mentorship series as the roadmap he wished he had when starting out.

18:28[00:01] series, a lot of you guys who are new to this YouTube channel might be wondering who I am and why you should trust me. You might see the lifestyle I have today. You might see the cars, the freedom, me traveling the world, me
[00:16] making six figures every single month from trading, and every good thing that actually came from trading. But, what you haven't seen is the full story behind it. You haven't seen where I started. You haven't seen how broke I
[00:31] I started. You haven't seen how broke I was, how lost I felt, how insecure I used to be, and how far away this life once felt from my reality. You haven't seen the pain, the pressure, the self-doubts, the failures, the
[00:48] nights where I questioned whether any of these would ever work, and the moments where I genuinely felt like I was stuck in a life that I didn't want.
[01:00] Trading didn't just make me money. It didn't just make me rich. Trading changed my life. And before I teach you anything in this mentorship series, I feel obligated. I feel like it's so
[01:14] important for you to understand the person who's behind the lessons itself. Not just the version of me that you see today, the charming, handsome young man, but the version of me that had to struggle, had to sacrifice, and
[01:28] transform in order to get here today. So, before we get into the strategy, the trading psychology, the market mechanics concepts, the liquidity, and everything I want to make this episode zero. And I want to share my story with you on
[01:45] how I went from broke to becoming a millionaire trader. And hopefully, by sharing this, I can show you what's possible, help you really trust me, and show you that these 30-day mentorship series is
[02:00] that these 30-day mentorship series is genuinely worth your time. participating in this series. I'm grateful for you being here. Thank you for being here, and I hope you enjoy the ride. So, with that being said, let me
[02:14] take you back to where it all started. My mom grew up in a tiny village in My mom grew up in a tiny village in China. No clean water, no electricity. In fact, recently, I went back to my ancestral home in China a few months
[02:27] ancestral home in China a few months ago. To be exact, January 3rd, 2026. Right? So, literally just like 2 months ago. And this was my first time back in China after 10 years. Like the last time I was in China, I was literally this
[02:41] small. Right? Maybe not this small, but I was like 150 cm. I was just like a few Right? And then this time around, I returned to China, and now I return as a millionaire. And this is where, for the first time, I
[02:54] saw where my mom used to live with my own eyes. So, my mom used to live here. own eyes. So, my mom used to live here. And then that's where They had like one room and they were all sleeping in there. It's crazy.
[03:27] like the floor. There's like seven siblings together. siblings together. Crazy.
[03:46] my mom used to actually like feed chicken and pigs and like all the other farm animals before she go to school every day. So, like this is where like Yeah. Anyways, um she married my dad and she moved to Singapore because she
[03:59] thought life would be different there. And the thing is it was different, but And the thing is it was different, but not in the way they hoped. afloat. We were really poor. Like my parents
[04:15] would skip meals so me and my sister could eat. school and told people they were brand new. My mom would cut my hair because we simply could not afford to go to a
[04:27] simply could not afford to go to a barber. lunch when I was in primary school and on some days I'll purposely starve myself so that I could reuse that same $2 the next day.
[04:41] And McDonald's, which most kids just eat whenever they want, that was like a birthday treat for us. And even then, I would only get it if my parents could make the numbers work that month since
[04:54] they were earning around like 1.5 K per month in total back then. scheme. This meant that the government was subsidizing my school textbooks and uniforms and even sometimes my meals
[05:09] ourselves. And I still remember the day some kids laughed at me for it. You know, it's super embarrassing especially when Some kids just laugh at you for like being poor, right? So, at the back of
[05:22] super ashamed. And I went home and I asked my mom, "Yo benefits, please?" Right? As the the angry kid going through puberty. And she said, "No, we have to suck it up
[05:37] so that you can go to college and eventually get us out of poverty." Those were the exact words that she told me in Chinese. In that moment, I felt powerless. I felt small. I felt helpless.
[05:52] Not because I was embarrassed for being poor, but because there was nothing I poor, but because there was nothing I could do to help my family. young teenager I was and I told her, "Mom, one day I'm going to be rich. So
[06:09] rich that my kids will never ever have to worry about money ever again. And they will never ever have to feel the same embarrassment that I felt. And when I make it, I'm going to help other people get out of poverty, too."
[06:22] From that day onwards, something in me lit up. Now that I think about it, it was like the norm growing up, but I didn't know any different back then, right? But like we were really like barely holding it
[06:34] together. And also my dad, who just worked every single day to the age of 65, who never once complained about it, you know, he worked as a housekeeper, masoor, fixing watches on the side, cleaner sometimes,
[06:47] whatever job he could find, he did it just so that he could put food on the table for us. And when you're a kid watching your father destroy his body, coming home at 11:00 p.m., 12:00 a.m. every single day,
[07:00] working three different jobs just so that you can eat, that does something to You carry that. Until this day, I still carry that. Their sacrifices became the thing that drove me. It became my strong why.
[07:14] I knew I couldn't waste the sacrifices they made for me. But I also knew that if I ended up on the same path as them, working paycheck 5:00 job and hoping things would eventually get better,
[07:28] nothing would actually change for my family. So, when I was 17, I told myself something that sounded incredibly delusional to anyone who knew my situation.
[07:42] I told myself, "I'm going to be the first person in my millionaire." I remember when I made that vow to myself on that particular day, I took like this yellow paper, I wrote down in
[07:56] these exact words, "I want to acquire $1 million by the age of 30." And this was because I was inspired by some book like How to Think and Grow Rich or something. And I pasted the page I pasted this
[08:09] paper on my wall. And every single day I come back from school I look at that. Every single morning I visualize I'm try to, you know, manifest this. But the reason why I wanted to become a millionaire was wasn't because I wanted
[08:24] but it was because I wanted to retire my father, who was 65 years old and still working his ass off. I wanted to help him. But the thing is, I had no idea how. I had no mentor, no connections, no rich
[08:40] friends, nobody around me who had ever made real money, no rich family members, nothing. I had to start from square one. But I knew I had to figure something out. And that is when I found trading.
[08:55] I got a job as a waiter making about $7 an hour. I'll go to school during the day, go straight to work after, and I'll take the subway home at midnight. Every single night I'll grind my ass off.
[09:09] the times. And instead of spending that money buy new shoes or whatever like a normal teenager would, I saved every single dollar. I bought books, and I opened a small trading account.
[09:23] skill. That was the only thing I cared about. I night with my friends. How could you do it when your family's is struggling right now? How could you do it when your My parents is busting their ass off?
[09:37] The only thing I care about was to master trading. If you have ever stayed up until 2:00 a.m. watching YouTube videos about trading while everyone else was asleep, feeling you like you're this close to
[09:50] figuring it out, you already know exactly what that phase And this is what I would describe as the lonely chapter. And the thing is at first things actually went surprisingly well, right?
[10:04] Sometimes I managed to make some good old profits, right? Managed to win a few trades. Beginner's luck. Uh that caused me to turn $500 into $8,000 in a few days, right? You can see the profit screenshot right here. I
[10:17] remember taking this during my 9:00 to 5:00 job at an internship at a real estate company. That this was the next job that I worked as after work waiting this in the office and I was so happy. I genuinely thought I figured out. I
[10:31] genuinely thought I was invincible. I was the best trader in the entire world. And I was already doing the math on like when I'll become a millionaire. I think every trader has that moment. You know, that that one week where
[10:44] cracked the code. And the only question left is how fast you're going to get rich. As you might have guessed, right? The $8,000 that I made, lost it all in one trade. All of it gone.
[10:58] bad. It was because I couldn't handle myself when the pressure was on. I couldn't control my emotions. management back then. I was just opening 0.5 lots on a
[11:14] I was just opening 0.5 lots on a freaking $500 account. Just account. And I wish I could tell you that I learned my lesson after that. But I didn't. For years I was stuck in the same loop.
[11:29] I'll find a trading strategy. I would get excited about the strategy, and then funding challenge, and I'll repeat the same cycle over and over again. Find another strategy, get excited, blow account, and over and over again.
[11:44] couldn't sit still. I wanted to make money. I was copying setups from people on Instagram who probably wasn't even trading real money. I was emotional, reckless, and honestly,
[11:58] I was just gambling and telling myself that I was trading. And if that sounds familiar, if you've ever gone from indicators to ICT to price action to SMC all within the same month because each one looked
[12:12] promising right up until you put real money behind it, then you already know exactly what this loop looks like from the inside. In my first year of trading, just in my first year, I blew seven
[12:26] trading accounts. I failed six funding challenges and lost over $10,000. because some of you guys are in this situation some of you guys are in this situation right now.
[12:41] money was my dad's. You know, money he earned cleaning houses and fixing watches. I will never forget the day where he gave me $2,000 to me, right? So that I could actually pay my school fees.
[12:54] And my dumb ass thought that I could double it in the markets. So I deposited it into my trading account. Took a few trades on gold. Well, I ended up losing it in two trades.
[13:07] And till this day, he still doesn't know that I lost that that $2,000, but that's another story for another day. If you have ever closed your laptop and just sit there in silence, staring at nothing, feeling like
[13:23] staring at nothing, feeling like something is broken inside you, I know exactly what it feels like because I lived there for years. honestly done. I was like, "You know what? Maybe this is a scam, right? This
[13:36] is not real. Trading is not meant for me. I'm I'm not meant So, I logged out of everything. I closed all of the tabs, exited my trading platform, closed my trading account, and I just sat there.
[13:49] Sat there in silence. No charts, no YouTube videos, no motivation Tik Toks. Just alone in the room in silence. Just alone in the room in silence. I was so sick and tired of losing money.
[14:04] I was so tired of hoping the next trade would be different. promise to myself and breaking them every single time.
[14:17] every single time. But that silence is what saved me. Because when everything goes quiet and there's nothing left to distract you, there's nothing left to distract you, you can finally be honest with yourself.
[14:30] simple. What if the strategy was never the What if the strategy was never the problem?
[14:42] honestly, the answer was so god damn obvious it hurt. Because the thing is, I tried dozens of strategies. Some of them were perfectly Other people made money with the same setups that I was blowing accounts on.
[14:57] The only thing was that was the same in every single failure was me. every single failure was me. I was the common denominator.
[15:10] my lack of discipline, my inability to follow a trade plan when real money is follow a trade plan when real money is on the line. strategy and I started building something completely different.
[15:24] I built a mechanical system. Not another strategy, a system. Clear rules for when to enter, when to exit, and how much money to risk on each trade. Rules that didn't care how I was feeling
[15:38] on that day. And that one change didn't just fix my It changed who I was. How I showed up, how I make decisions, how I handle the losing. Because I wasn't relying on willpower
[15:53] Because I wasn't relying on willpower anymore. I was relying on a process. And the process doesn't panic when the market move against you. Since then, I've made over $3 million in trading profits.
[16:08] And I didn't do it quietly. Like I said, every single trade, wins and losses, documented on YouTube for over 1.5 million subscribers to see. Because if you're going to teach this, people deserve to see the receipts.
[16:21] Now, most importantly, I've helped over 1,500 students get funded. Hundreds of them are now making 10K to 50K a month consistently. And on a personal level, I made my first million dollars before I hit 21, and I
[16:37] retired my father. Fully retired him. He's enjoying his life right now, traveling wherever he want. And everything, every trip is paid for, every nice expensive meal in the restaurant is paid for. He's living the
[16:50] The man who spent his whole life working three jobs so that I could eat, now he's getting fat, sitting on the couch, watching TV every single day because he's got nothing nothing else to do. And I also gave my mom everything she
[17:03] used to pray for in silence. Whatever that she wants, I buy it for her. In fact, just last month, as you guys know, I almost made a million dollars in I ended up buying her her dream Mercedes-Benz, which cost me 400k. Yes,
[17:19] I know cars in Singapore extremely expensive. I also bought my dream penthouse at age of 23 which cost me nearly 2 million dollars. Every single morning I go to the balcony and the balcony literally
[17:32] have like this is beautiful view of Singapore and I'm just remind myself how grateful I am of Mr. Market. Mr. Market. All of these blessings was thanks to Mr.
[17:45] The Market. But I need to understand something. None of that happened because I found some secret strategy. It happened because I stopped chasing setups and build a system that force me to execute properly whether I feel like
[17:58] it or not. And now my entire mission is to make trading a real income stream for as many people as I possibly can because what it did for my life and for my family, I want that for you too.
[18:12] Remember earlier on when I told you that I told my mom that one day I'm going to be rich and when I do I will help others get there. that's exactly what I've committed my life to. That's why I do what I do. So
[18:28] that's my story and if you have taken anything from my story, let it be this. anything from my story, let it be this. Your current situation means nothing if you are willing to change your habits, change your standards and keep showing
[18:41] catch up. Success is not built in one moment. It's not built in one big win. It's built in the small decisions that nobody sees. It's built in the work that is done in private when nobody is clapping.
[18:57] And if I can go from someone who's broke, absolutely nothing to building my dream life through trading, then your life can change too. But only if you decide that you are no longer available for the old version of
[19:11] yourself. This 30-day mentorship series is honestly everything that I wish I had when I first started trading. When I started, I was lost. I was confused. I was overwhelmed. I was
[19:23] directionless. I was making mistakes I didn't even know I was making. And I had to learn most of them the hard way. Nobody laid it out for me. I didn't have a mentor. Nobody had a road map for me. Nobody sat me down and say, "Hey,
[19:37] here's what you should do. Here's what you should ignore. And here's how to Nobody did that for me. And because nobody did that for me, I'm going to do it for you. But in return, I need something from
[19:51] you. Nothing is free, right? I need you to commit. I need you to take this series seriously. I need you to treat this mentorship and just focus and just study as if your life depends on it.
[20:05] Don't just watch it for entertainment. Study it. Take down notes. Apply the concepts. Practice it. And if you're really in, not like half in half out, but if you're all in, I want you guys to go down to the
[20:20] comments right now and comment, "I'm committed." Because for the next 30 days, we're going to lock in together, you and me. together and we're going to get you to the stage where you're able to analyze
[20:32] the charts confidently so that you can actually trade So once again, I appreciate you for being here. Thank you for taking part in this 30-day boot camp and let's get to work.
[20:46] And I'll see you in episode one. Remember, you're just one trade away.
