AI Summary

In this lesson, Brad addresses the common trader complaint of 'not having time' by reframing it as a lack of structure and prioritization rather than a scarcity of hours. He introduces four productivity templates available in the Edge Flow notebook feature—goal tracker, daily planner, daily routine checklist, and habit tracker—designed to help traders build consistent, repeatable routines that support their trading success.

[00:20]
The Real Problem Is Not Time

Traders often say 'I don't have time,' but this actually means they haven't organized their schedule around what matters. Consistent traders protect 1-2 hours daily with intention.

[01:32]
Prioritization Over Time

Time isn't the issue; prioritization is. A chaotic life leads to chaotic trading. Order in life brings clearer thinking, stabilized emotions, and automatic discipline.

[02:13]
Consistency Beats Intensity

You don't need 6 hours a day. Just 1-2 hours of focused, consistent work daily can transform trading. Consistency beats intensity every time.

[03:52]
Goal Tracker Template

Define clear goals to avoid drifting. Break big goals into smaller chunks (yearly, quarterly, monthly). Write down why it matters and set deadlines—'a goal without a deadline is simply a dream.'

[07:03]
Daily Planner Template

Plan your day in advance, ideally the night before. Block out 30-minute intervals for tasks like waking up, meditation, studying lessons, and pre-market routines. This builds structure and accountability.

[11:32]
Daily Routine Checklist

A checklist to strike off tasks in your morning, pre-market, and post-market routines. Acting like a professional trader helps you feel and get results like one.

[13:07]
Habit Tracker Template

Track daily habits like meditation, eating clean, and following your trade plan. Consistent actions lead to consistent results. Review weekly to see how habits affect trading performance.

[16:39]
Final Encouragement

You don't need more time; you need a clear routine, priorities, and a system. Try one template for 7 days straight to see a huge difference in trading and life.

The core message is that trading success hinges on structure and consistent habits, not on having more hours. By using the provided productivity templates, traders can build a disciplined routine that supports their goals and leads to better results.

[00:06] mentorship program. And every single one has a different life. Some work a 9-5 job. Some are single parents with two kids. Some are students grinding exams. And almost every single time I hear the

[00:20] same sentence over and over again. Yo, Brad. I don't have time. I don't have time to trade. I don't have time to watch your lessons. And that one line has killed more trading careers than blown accounts.

[00:35] you don't lack time. You lack structure. You lack priorities. >> Consistent traders don't magically get extra hours in a day. Like we all have

[00:48] the same 24 hours. Elon Musk have the same 24 hours as you. But why does he get more done than you do? Right? I have the same 24 hours as you. Why do I able to get more trading results than you? Well, it's because consistent traders,

[01:03] they have learned how to protect one to two hours a day and use it with intention. Use it to focus on the things that truly matter. So, when you say that I don't have time, what you really mean is I haven't

[01:17] organized my schedule around what actually matters. I'm letting other things take priority by accident. And I don't have a routine that I can repeat. That's what you mean when you say I don't have time.

[01:32] Because time isn't the issue. Prioritization is. And the thing about trading is that it's not just about charts. It's about your lifestyle as well. It's about, you know, scheduling your life around the things

[01:44] that actually matter. If your life is chaotic, your trading will be chaotic. But when your life has order, your execution start getting cleaner. You start thinking clearer. Your emotions

[01:58] stabilize. You stop forcing trades and discipline becomes automatic. And the good news is you don't need to have 6 hours a day. the charts. Most people can transform their trading

[02:13] Most people can transform their trading with just 1 to 2 hours of focused work every single day as long as it's consistent and it's protected. No day. Because remember, consistency beats

[02:27] Because remember, consistency beats intensity every damn time. And that is exactly why we've built these productivity templates inside the notebook feature inside Edge Flow. So, when you go to notebook and you go

[02:39] on to the templates and you go on to the section which talks about productivity, you will be able to access these four templates. Like I said, traders, they don't fail because from a lack of motivation or

[02:52] inspiration, they fail because they don't have a structure that they can repeat every damn day. So, instead of letting you figure it out, you know, you plug-and-play templates to help you organize your entire trading life the

[03:07] same way you organize a trade plan. Okay, so in this lesson, I'm just going templates, the four productivity templates, in this exact order, the goal tracker, and then the daily planner, the daily routine checklist, and also the

[03:22] habit tracker. All right, so like I said, the point here isn't to turn you into a productivity nerd who needs to know about every single nuance, like what's the best matcha latte to be drinking when you are trading or what's

[03:35] the best monitor that give you the the the most precise pixel of every single candlestick move. No. It's about really just making sure that your schedule supports the boring, repetitive actions that actually make you profitable. Okay?

[03:52] template we have for you is the goal tracker. it's very simple. If you don't have a clear defined goal, you will be lost. You will be directionless. And as a result, you're

[04:06] going to be drifting. Okay? Now, the hard part about achieving success in trading is knowing exactly what you want to achieve from trading. Getting there is the easy part. Once you know exactly

[04:20] exactly what you want to achieve from trading, you will know that anything else is simply a distraction. And now you're opening your mind up to move me closer towards my goal? No, eliminate it. Does this move me closer

[04:35] towards my my higher self? Yes, okay, do it. Right, so that's it. It's very So you want to just plan your goals. And like to like just break the elephant down. I don't try to eat the elephant by

[04:49] itself. I try to break the elephant down into chunks where I can nibble on. And that's what you do when you actually plan up front. Right, you plan your goals. Right, I'll say very simple, I just write down three things you want to

[05:01] to keep it even more simpler, just write down one thing. What's the one thing In Japanese, there's this philosophy called Misogi, right, which says that if the year, at the end of the year, you'll be proud of yourself, you'll be

[05:16] satisfied, you'll be grateful, you'll be thinking that wow, this was a good year. want, you can like break the one thing into like three things that you want to accomplish this year. It could be something to do with physical,

[05:29] mental, spiritual, financial, whatever here. And then lay it down your quarterly goals. Right, break it down. Okay, on a quarterly basis, what do I need to do? What do I

[05:42] need to achieve for me to be one step closer towards are yearly goal? And then also your monthly goals right here. And then, once you clearly define that, like this. Right? You can literally write down, okay, let's say your goal

[05:54] one is to pass the 50K funded challenge. Right? So, if that's the case, then you month, and then you want to write down why it matters. Okay? To gain more system, right? To go outside outside of my comfort zone. And then, put a

[06:08] Right? Because a goal without a deadline is simply a dream. And then, you can put the status. Right? Just in progress, or you have completed. just like come in here, complete it, or you haven't started, you can just put it

[06:22] a system that you can use right here. self-explanatory, so I'm not going to go too deep into it. But, this is the template that you can use to define what you want. Nietzsche once said, "He who

[06:36] how." If you If you have a strong why, and you know exactly Right? What is your purpose in this life? Then, whatever hardship, whatever

[06:50] trials, whatever obstacles that life or the market throws at you, you will be able to conquer it. You will be able to defeat it because your why is so god damn strong that it's able to move mountains. Right? So,

[07:03] that's the importance of setting goals. Next is the daily planner. Right? So, for the daily planner itself, it's a very simple sort of um productivity template-ish. Right? You can use Google

[07:16] Calendar for this as well. I personally prefer to do this on Google Calendar, of my day. But, if you want to keep things simple, you can just come in here, right? Just, you know, like just use this template every single day to

[07:28] just plan out your day in advance. Okay? So, I'll recommend you to do this either at the start of the day, or do it the night before. Okay? If you want to be like really locked in like I do, I like to plan my day the night before. So, if

[07:41] today is Tuesday, after I'm ending my work, after I'm done with my work, last thing I'll do is to just plan what I want to accomplish next day and what are the things that I want to be doing on an hour-to-hour basis, so that

[07:54] tomorrow will be like a productive day. So, this is where I can come in here, write write down the date, right? Let's say today uh let's say I'm planning for then once you're done with that, you can literally plan like literally hour by

[08:08] hour, even in 30-minute intervals right here, what you want to be doing in each one of these intervals right here. So, let's say today I wake up at 7:00 a.m., right? The first thing I might want to do is to actually uh wash

[08:21] routine, and then maybe after that then I'll do like meditation for 30 minutes, right? So, you can like just plan it however you want, by the way. And then let's say after that I'm going

[08:33] And then let's say after that I'm going to be starting Bret's lessons for 1 here you do your pre-market routine, right? You you get the point, right? Basically, you want to like you really just block out every single 30 minute of

[08:46] your time, so you know exactly uh what you want to be doing with the 8 to 12 tomorrow. All right. Once again, this is all about building structure. It's all about keeping you accountable, so that

[09:00] like, "Oh, I don't know what to do today. Maybe I should just stay in bed, just scroll a bunch of TikTok, or you know what? I'm just going to go to my job, I'm just going to come home, watch Netflix, chill, and that's it." One day

[09:16] put the systems in place to capitalize on every single hour within a day. Remember, time is finite. Time is extremely limited, okay? Like it's the over and over again, and there's no recharge, right? There's no charger to

[09:32] time. So, you got to make sure that you really make each day the best day possible, right? Like to me, I call this a perfect day. A perfect day is where I do something difficult, right? I train hard, I work hard, I spend time with my

[09:45] family, my loved ones, and I just do something that I like, like reading or journaling, right? To me, that's a perfect day. And I try to stack as many then

[09:58] So, yeah, this is what you do, right? Just really just plan out your day using this resource that we have given you in here. And also, just write down things do this, right? To me, I believe that

[10:10] gratitude is the highest form of energy. If you start being content, and you appreciate what you do have, now you don't want anything else, and that alleviates suffering. Because suffering comes from grasping. Suffering

[10:23] suffering comes from grasping. Suffering comes from trying to shape reality into your expectation. Suffering comes from trying to achieve something that you don't have right now. So, if you're already content with what

[10:36] what you have, guess what? You don't have suffering. You don't have pain, there. So, I'm grateful for you can write down three things right here. And then you can also write down things that you want to be doing today, right? Like

[10:49] to me, what I like to do is to just decide, okay, tomorrow, what are the today for the day itself, right? I want to back test entry model number three. I want to, let's say, study one lesson on market mechanics.

[11:03] And then maybe I want to journal trade, okay? So, I just need to accomplish I will try to slot these three things within the the day itself. And also, you what are the wins that you have accomplished. You know, I follow my

[11:19] trade plan today. I actually set aside two hours of the day to study Brett's courses today. I actually got funded today. Whatever it is, you can think about how you can improve tomorrow, right? Very simple

[11:32] again, very self-explanatory. I'm not going to go too deep into it. You can just use this to plan out your day. Next up, we got your daily routine checklist. Right, so this is to me the exact same thing as the daily planner,

[11:46] just like this where you can just strike off the task that you are doing as your routine, whatever whatever, your post-market routine. Right, so once again, it's very important for you to have a routine that allows you to think,

[12:01] act, and feel like a professional trader. Like I mentioned in the last lesson, when you start to behave like a professional trader, you start to feel like a professional trader, you start to experience what it's like to be a

[12:14] the results of a professional trader. Right, so that's all it is. And that is why I try to my model my routine to a professional trader as much as possible. Okay, what does a professional trader do from the time that you wake up

[12:28] to the time that you go to sleep? He wake up, he's probably not going to doing some form of meditation, some form of breath work. Right, he's going to be setting his intention. Right, and then I just list the steps down, right? Maybe

[12:40] the morning. Right, so you can see once you lay out can just come on to this checklist itself and just cross off the task that is there to hold you accountable. All

[12:54] achieve success in trading, cool. Now you have to set the routines. Now you have to do the habits that actually get you that success. And this allows you to like just track whether you're doing the routine on daily basis or not. Right, so

[13:07] here, you can put in as many steps as you want in here, and once you're done with each step, just cross it off just like this. Very very simple, right? Next up, we got habit tracker. This is another productivity tool that is very

[13:21] To me, like I said, in In to achieve consistent results, I want to make sure that my actions are consistent. That's it. Consistent actions equal consistent results. Inconsistent actions almost guarantee

[13:36] inconsistent results. All right, like that's it. If you want to get sure that you're consistent in your actions. And that is where habits come And I like to really just optimize my life as much as possible.

[13:51] I like to perform like an athlete. And if you look at an athlete, he literally just literally like do everything that he does is just so that he can pursue greatness. You know, he eat clean, he

[14:05] work out every single day, he do his inner work, he read books on how to better at his skill set, how to get better at his craft, he practice, whatever, whatever. He literally like revolves his entire life around the

[14:20] field that he's in right now, around the endeavor that he's trying to master. And it's the exact same thing for me, right? When I want to become the best at right? I want to become one of the greatest traders that ever lived. And in

[14:33] sure that I'm doing the work, right? I want to make sure that I'm meditating, mental clarity, I'm eating clean so that way so that later when I go into the charts, I know exactly what to do and I

[14:47] have the energy to do it. I want to be, you know, following my mechanical trade are the habits. The habits, right? To me, a habit is do it over and over again, right? So what you want to do, very very simple,

[15:01] what you want to do, very very simple, just come in here, just, you know, like remove any habits that you don't want right here, and you just want to track whether you have actually done the habit on a daily basis. And if you do, right,

[15:14] just put like a tick just like this on the habit itself, right? Just like this. Tick, tick, today done. Okay, Thursday you skip it. Okay, cool. Be honest, right? Be honest that you skip. And then next day, did I do it? Yes. Saturday,

[15:27] cool. Right, you can see when you do this, what happens is that now you are able to like look back at the end of the week itself to see on which days did you actually do the habit? And then on those days that you didn't do the habit, were

[15:42] your trading results worse? Okay, because what I found is that when I look back at my habit tracker on a weekly basis, I realized that on the that I don't work out or don't eat clean,

[15:56] my level of thinking is worse. I make worse decisions, which also means that I get trading results. I lose money on those days. notice a pattern. Oh, okay. So, I when I do these habits, I get these results.

[16:11] And when you do and you when you actually got that awareness, now you start feeling good about yourself. And now you start feeling these elevated which is telling your subconscious mind once

[16:25] more often. And because when you do these habits more often, you start to get the results that you want to achieve. subconscious mind to just do the right things for an extended period of time so

[16:39] that you can win. All right, so that's it for the habit tracker itself. want to share with you. And just remember, you don't you do really don't need more time. Like you genuinely do not need more time. What you do need is

[16:53] What you do need is a clear routine. What you do need is clearer priorities. What you do need is really just a system professional trader. And the notebook templates I shared are

[17:06] here to help you do that. Yeah, here to help you remove the guesswork and just make discipline automatic. So, yeah, I would highly recommend you right? Just try one of these templates out. Use it for 7 days straight and

[17:21] huge difference in your trading instantly. In fact, you will even feel a huge difference in your life because now you actually have structure, now you're actually waking up with purpose, and now you're actually

[17:34] having like this infinite amount of energy to work because now you know exactly what you should be doing because you have really laid out what you want to accomplish with this one precious life. And you have also laid out what

[17:46] you want to be doing on a daily basis that will move you closer towards your goals. And when you do this, what happens is that you are slowly but surely transcending into the highest version of yourself.

[17:59] And when you do that, when you change the way you see things, the things you see start changing. When you start changing yourself, right? The world around you start changing. Okay? So, that's it. Hope you guys enjoyed

[18:13] this lesson and I'll see you in the next lesson.
