This video offers practical tips for VTubers who wear glasses to improve eye tracking. The creator shares four key techniques: using a ring light, adjusting Vtubing software sensitivity settings, repositioning the camera, and upgrading to a cheap iPhone. Each tip is presented as a simple fix that can significantly boost avatar performance.
A cheap ring light greatly improves eye tracking for glasses wearers. Position it 25–45 degrees to your right or left for best results.
Open your Vtubing software settings and adjust eye open sensitivity and blink sensitivity. Values differ from person to person, so experiment.
If you have a strong prescription, a desk-level camera is suboptimal. Rest the webcam/iPhone above the monitor, slightly pointing down, to improve tracking.
Rest your glasses slightly forward on your nose to help the camera pick up your eyes more reliably.
Buying a used iPhone 10 (under $100) or iPhone 11/12 (under $200) on Facebook Marketplace significantly improves eye tracking, plus mouth and lip movement.
With a few inexpensive tweaks to lighting, software, camera position, and gear, glasses-wearing VTubers can dramatically improve how accurately their avatars track eyes and expressions.

02:23[00:02] many, many V YouTubers. So, in today's video, I'm going to share with you some tips and tricks that I've learned along the way to help me get some better eye tracking with glasses. But before we do that, if you don't mind smashing that
[00:14] like and subscribe button to help me reach 100,000 YouTube subscribers by the end of 2026. My first tip for today is lighting. Believe it or not, there's a lot of YouTubers that stream in a little
[00:28] bit dark places. So, having a nice cheap little ring light can really help your eyes track better with glasses. This is a little ring light that I personally use and it honestly works really, really well. It's a bone mount and a ring light
[00:42] built into one. I'll link a non-affiliate link in the description you see in front of you right now, we want a ring light roughly 25 to 45° to our right or to our left. This will provide the best results. My second tip
[00:59] for you is your V tubing software settings. Now that we have our Vtubing software open, we just want to open up the settings really quick. Click on the little camera icon and we want to, you know, check our settings. So, we got our
[01:13] blink sensitivity, eye open sensitivity, and mouse sensitivity. We want to adjust the eye open sensitivity as much as possible. Play around with it. It will be different from person to person. And blink sensitivity. Again, that will be
[01:25] different for person to person. You will see something similar with VC face or any other Vtubing software you're using. My third tip is camera positioning. Unfortunately, everybody has a different prescription for their
[01:39] glasses. And for a lot of YouTubers that have glasses, having your phone on the desk like you see right now is perfectly fine. But for those YouTubers that have a really bad prescription or they have glasses like Mr. Magcoo, having your
[01:54] camera sitting on your desk may not be the best option. Having your webcam or your iPhone resting above the monitor pointing slightly down toward you can really improve the tracking. To help it even a little bit more, having your
[02:08] glasses rest on the front of your nose slightly can really, really help the phone pick up your eyes. Number four is equipment upgrades. I know a lot of you new YouTubers are using webcams for your tracking, but upgrading to an iPhone can
[02:23] really, really improve eye tracking. You can snag an iPhone 10 on Facebook Marketplace for less than $100 or an iPhone 11 and 12 for less than $200. By investing in upgrading to a cheap iPhone, not only do you improve the
[02:37] quality of your eye tracking, but your mouth and lip movement. Let me know in the comments down below if you have any more tips and tricks to improve eye tracking for those VTubers that wear glasses. Again, I'm your VTuber senpai.
