AI Summary

This video breaks down the four fundamental pillars of aiming in Valorant: crosshair placement, raw aim, spray control, and movement. The creator, a coach who has helped players from Silver to Immortal, provides actionable tips and techniques to improve each pillar.

[00:06]
Four Pillars of Aim

The four pillars are crosshair placement, raw aim, spray control, and perfect movement.

[00:33]
Crosshair Placement Importance

Good crosshair placement reduces flicks and mouse movements, leading to faster reactions and higher headshot percentage.

[01:34]
Three Crosshair Width Rule

Hold angles three crosshair widths away when expecting a wide swing to pre-aim effectively.

[02:11]
Tracker Method for Crosshair Placement

Use Val tracker to find maps with low headshot percentage, then practice in custom games using map details to maintain head level.

[02:42]
Tracing Angles

Trace around corners with crosshair slightly away to clear angles quickly without sacrificing reaction time.

[05:21]
Raw Aim and Shaky Aim Fix

Shaky aim is often due to improper training. Slow down and focus on technique, treating each flick as two motions: hospital flick and micro adjustment.

[07:09]
Focus on Target, Not Crosshair

Focusing on the target improves reaction and tracking, making enemies appear slower.

[07:56]
Spray Transfer

First 12-15 bullets are accurate when spraying straight down; for remaining bullets, move mouse side to side to control randomness.

[09:29]
Crouching in Fights

Crouching is good for committed 1v1 fights and micro peeks, but bad at long range, when pushing sites, or holding common angles.

Mastering the four pillars of aim—crosshair placement, raw aim, spray control, and movement—is essential for improving in Valorant. Consistent practice with the techniques provided can lead to significant rank improvement.

[00:00] Does your aim look like this, but you

[00:01] want it to look like this?

[00:06] To get an insane aim, you have to hone

[00:07] down the four fundamental pillars that

[00:09] every player must master: crosshair

[00:11] placement, raw aim, spray control, and

[00:14] perfect movement. Each topic deserves

[00:16] its own video, but to make it easier for

[00:18] you, I will break down all the info you

[00:20] need into this fully updated aiming

[00:22] guide. I've coached hundreds of players

[00:24] from silver to diamond and diamond to

[00:25] immortal, and even reach immortal myself

[00:27] in just 1 month of playing. So, make

[00:29] sure to stay till the end to get all the

[00:31] free info in this video. Now, let's

[00:33] start off with the first pillar, which

[00:35] is crosshair placement. Everyone here

[00:36] has probably heard all about crosshair

[00:38] placement a million times before. But,

[00:40] to keep it simple, it's all about

[00:42] keeping your crosshair at head level and

[00:44] pre-aiming positions that the enemies

[00:46] can be. Having insane crosshair

[00:47] placement allows you to do less flicks

[00:49] and less mouse movements, which means

[00:51] you will react faster onto targets and

[00:53] have a higher headshot percentage

[00:55] overall. This is the sole reason why

[00:57] pros like Zekken are so good. They have

[01:00] perfected the art of crosshair placement

[01:02] and can seamlessly be at head level no

[01:04] matter what elevation they are in or how

[01:06] chaotic the situation is. Now, even if

[01:09] you think you have good crosshair

[01:10] placement, trust me, it can still be

[01:12] improved. I like comparing it to

[01:14] practicing your free throws in

[01:15] basketball. It's one of those skills

[01:16] that can never be fully perfected, but

[01:18] you can get super close as long as you

[01:20] put in the effort. Now, Rooney, how can

[01:22] we get pro level crosshair placement?

[01:24] There are three tips I teach all my

[01:26] students that help them improve their

[01:27] crosshair placement insanely fast and

[01:29] also allow them to reach ascendant and

[01:31] immortal in under 90 days. First is the

[01:34] three crosshair width rule. When you're

[01:35] in an off angle and expect an enemy to

[01:38] wide swing you, hold the angle three

[01:40] crosshair widths away. This is so that

[01:41] you can pre-aim the inevitable wide

[01:43] swing, giving you much more time to kill

[01:45] the enemy rather than getting caught off

[01:47] guard. To know if an enemy will wide

[01:48] swing you, use audio indicators and

[01:50] footsteps to help with this, as well as

[01:53] ask yourself if you're in an off angle

[01:55] or a common angle. Usually, in off

[01:57] angles, players will wide swing you

[01:58] because they don't expect your position

[01:59] there. And if you're in a common angle,

[02:01] they will peek you tightly, which means

[02:03] you can keep your crosshair closer to

[02:04] the wall. And between you and me, let's

[02:06] face it, most players in low elo just

[02:08] wide swing anyways. So, it's best to

[02:09] keep this a habit you do constantly. The

[02:11] second is the tracker method. Look

[02:13] through your Val tracker and try to spot

[02:15] the lowest headshot percentage maps that

[02:17] you have. Now, go into custom games and

[02:18] pick maps where you have bad headshot

[02:20] percentages on and enable all cheats.

[02:23] Once you're in the game, practice

[02:24] scaling up sites and using the details

[02:26] on the maps to help you keep at head

[02:27] level. The big things to spot are wooden

[02:29] boxes, radiant crates, and even textures

[02:31] on the walls. Riot's map developers have

[02:33] intentionally made indicators for

[02:35] players so they know where head height

[02:37] is. So, as long as you can find them,

[02:38] your crosshair placement will literally

[02:40] become perfect. Number three is practice

[02:42] your tracing. Everyone has heard about

[02:44] slicing the pie to clear angles, but

[02:45] most forget about when to trace the

[02:47] angles. Tracing the angle simply means

[02:49] that as you're pre-aiming, instead of

[02:51] looking into the wall and predicting

[02:53] someone to be back there, you want a

[02:55] crosshair with a way and trace around

[02:57] it. This is especially good if you don't

[02:58] have time to clear every single off

[03:00] angle or you're in a hurry to take a

[03:02] fight. This helps you have an insane

[03:04] advantage as it improves your reaction

[03:06] time, increases speed to clear angles

[03:08] without sacrificing anything. If you

[03:09] don't believe this works, let's look at

[03:11] Zekken again doing it himself. As you

[03:13] can see, he constantly keeps his

[03:14] crosshair a with a way as he peeks and

[03:17] traces around the corner. He does this

[03:19] so he can speed up to get to the

[03:20] position he wants to be in while not

[03:22] having to slow down and clear each off

[03:24] angle he comes across. As all Zekken

[03:26] needs to do is trace around the corner

[03:28] and stop the moment they appear on his

[03:30] screen. These three tips are the most

[03:32] important things to do to ensure your

[03:34] crosshair placement reaches a pro level

[03:36] really quickly. And by the way, are you

[03:38] someone who is tired of grinding for

[03:40] five hours a day, but still getting

[03:42] worse? You lose all your gunfights even

[03:44] though you have a great timing or are

[03:46] always confused about making the correct

[03:48] choices in game? Now, what if I told you

[03:50] that you could reach immortal in just 90

[03:52] days, which is why for the past year

[03:54] I've worked endlessly researching the

[03:56] best ways to train your aim so you can

[03:58] see results instantly. Now, if you want

[04:00] this exact system that I not only top

[04:02] co-turd but also strong password to

[04:04] platinum to Immortal 2 and giant hammer

[04:06] who went from diamond to Immortal, join

[04:08] the 1% club. Inside the average student

[04:10] ranks up over 300 RR and some even reach

[04:13] Immortal in just a couple of weeks.

[04:15] Again, as proof that my coaching

[04:16] actually works, look at my student Jay

[04:18] Shiggles who went from diamond 2 to

[04:19] Immortal or Grass who went from gold 2

[04:23] diamond to Immortal in a month or Adama

[04:25] who reached Immortal in under 2 weeks or

[04:27] Quinnex who was able to reach radiant

[04:29] for his first time in just 23 days after

[04:31] joining. I have hundreds more but I

[04:32] think you get the point. You will

[04:34] receive the Immortal blueprint that

[04:36] gives you a 90-day road map to guarantee

[04:38] you gaining at least 300 RR. You'll also

[04:46] well as my simple-to-follow broken aim

[04:48] routines that have helped players jump

[04:50] from a 0.89 KD to over a 1.2 KD in under

[04:54] 30 days. As you can tell, I let my

[04:56] results speak for themselves and I am so

[04:58] confident that you'll improve I can

[04:59] guarantee that you will gain 300 RR

[05:02] within 12 weeks or you get your money

[05:04] back. So, join today by clicking the

[05:06] link in the top of the description or

[05:07] the pinned comment. Now, having insane

[05:09] crosshair placement is incredibly

[05:11] important but as humans we aren't

[05:13] perfect all the time and sometimes we

[05:15] have to rely on our flicks when we're

[05:17] caught off guard, which is why we're

[05:18] moving on to the second pillar, which is

[05:21] raw aim. Most players I coach have this

[05:23] one huge issue that they can't seem to

[05:25] fix, which is shaky aim. You have

[05:27] probably searched up on YouTube on how

[05:29] to fix this and all you get are people

[05:31] telling you to just relax your hand or

[05:33] say something completely BS like

[05:34] changing your grip style. Instead of

[05:36] doing that, I'm going to give you some

[05:38] real answers on how we can fix our shaky

[05:40] flicks. The first is probably something

[05:42] you don't want to hear but you just

[05:43] haven't developed that skill yet. It's

[05:45] not that you have shaky aim because

[05:46] you're something wrong. Often times with

[05:48] my students, it's that you have trained

[05:50] improperly and don't have strong

[05:52] technique when you're flicking, which

[05:53] results in the shakiness that we have.

[05:56] So, to instantly fix this, instead of

[05:57] trying to aim faster, slow down and

[06:00] focus on your technique. Obviously, I

[06:02] can go on and on about this, but to make

[06:04] it really easy for you, I'll give you

[06:05] the two most important tips right now,

[06:07] or you'll be stuck with horrible aim

[06:09] forever. The first is to treat every

[06:11] flick you make into two motions. The

[06:12] first step is your hospital flick where

[06:14] you move your mouse as fast as you

[06:15] possibly can to get near the target. And

[06:17] the second motion is the micro

[06:19] adjustment you do to make up for the

[06:21] under or over flick you did initially.

[06:23] This technique is used by every single

[06:25] pro with the flicky aiming style, such

[06:27] as C9 Oxy, so that he can be really fast

[06:29] with his aim, but still is insanely

[06:31] accurate. And one thing to know, when

[06:33] you do your hospital flick, always try

[06:35] to under flick onto the target. The

[06:37] reason why you don't want to over flick

[06:38] it is because you are technically doing

[06:40] more mouse adjustments than you would if

[06:43] you intentionally under flick, meaning

[06:44] that over flicking is less optimal. So,

[06:46] make sure you're always aiming to at

[06:48] least under flick onto the target to

[06:50] optimize your mouse movements. And most

[06:52] players who struggle with this mainly

[06:53] just focus on the hospital and under

[06:55] develop their micro adjustment. To train

[06:57] this, all you need to do is go into the

[06:59] range, do medium bots, and do your best

[07:01] to score 25 out of 30 bots copying this

[07:04] exact technique. And before we get into

[07:06] the second tip, the biggest question my

[07:07] students ask me are if I should look at

[07:09] my crosshair or at the target. You

[07:11] should be focusing on the target while

[07:12] you aim. When we do this correctly, it

[07:14] will feel like a light bulb moment where

[07:16] everything just clicks. Take a ceiling

[07:17] fan for example. If you look at it

[07:19] generally, everything just looks like a

[07:21] blur. But, when we focus on one specific

[07:23] blade, you can easily track it spinning.

[07:25] It's much easier for you to read

[07:27] movement, react faster, and track the

[07:29] speed of a player peaking you. So, by

[07:31] focusing on your crosshair, this will

[07:32] tend to lead you to having shaky aim as

[07:34] the target just seems like a blur to

[07:36] you. But, focusing on the enemy actually

[07:37] makes them look a lot slower, which is

[07:39] really important, especially when you're

[07:41] in a duel where both of you are counter

[07:43] strafing trying to track each other's

[07:44] head. Overall, these two methods are by

[07:46] far the best ways to improve your aim

[07:48] and kill all shakiness from it. So,

[07:49] having crazy crosshair placement and

[07:51] great raw aim is important, but without

[07:52] this next important fundamental pillar,

[07:54] your aim will make you bottom frag. And

[07:56] the third pillar is learning how to

[07:58] spray transfer. If you've never heard of

[07:59] spray transferring before, basically

[08:01] it's the mechanic of accurately going

[08:03] from one moving target to the other

[08:04] while you're fully spraying. As you can

[08:06] see in these clips, to master aim, you

[08:08] must have insane spray transferring and

[08:10] crazy quick reactions. Now, you might be

[08:11] wondering how the hell can we train

[08:13] this? And first, I want to talk about a

[08:15] huge misconception that a lot of you

[08:16] have. Your spray control isn't as random

[08:19] as you think it is. A lot of people

[08:20] think it's hard to control your spray,

[08:22] but in reality, your first 12 to 15

[08:24] bullets that you shoot will be fully

[08:25] accurate as long as you spray straight

[08:27] down. But what about the last 15

[08:29] bullets? Yes, your spray control becomes

[08:31] random and we can't really control

[08:33] randomness, which is why you sometimes

[08:34] see pro players like PRXSomething shake

[08:37] their mouse towards the end of a crazy

[08:38] spray transfer because that is the

[08:40] technique they use to minimize the

[08:42] randomness in their sprays as much as

[08:44] possible. With that being said, even

[08:45] though our spray is technically still

[08:47] random at a certain point, it's actually

[08:49] pretty easy to control. Once you shoot

[08:51] the first 15 bullets straight down, for

[08:53] the remaining bullets, you just need to

[08:54] move your mouse side to side to control

[08:56] it. And with Valorant, you can mostly be

[08:58] accurate doing this without too much

[09:00] effort. The hard part is now

[09:01] implementing spray transfers. The best

[09:03] practice you can do is going into death

[09:05] matches and have a sole focus on working

[09:08] on how you spray and fight. So, don't

[09:10] try to burst spray or tap, just fully

[09:12] focus on this one technique. This is so

[09:14] you don't overwhelm yourself and can

[09:15] isolate on improving the skill without

[09:17] any distraction. I promise you, if you

[09:19] go into your death match practice like

[09:20] this, you will get better at your spray

[09:22] control and spray transfer. Now, one of

[09:24] the biggest mistakes lower-ranked

[09:25] players make is not understanding how

[09:27] much movement controls gunfights. There

[09:29] is one simple change I want you to

[09:30] implement that will instantly win you

[09:32] more duels, which is learning how to

[09:33] crouch properly during fights. Since

[09:36] Valorant's release, crouching has been a

[09:37] heated debate of if it's good or bad.

[09:40] You probably hear the same points over

[09:41] and over again, like crouching is bad

[09:43] because it makes you an easy target to

[09:44] kill, or crouching is good because it

[09:46] throws off enemies crosshair placement

[09:48] and helps with sprays. Now, to give you

[09:49] the real answer, crouching can be boiled

[09:51] down to taking committed fights. So,

[09:53] let's go over three situations crouching

[09:55] might be bad. First is if you're too far

[09:57] away in a fight. Crouching in these

[09:58] situations is bad because you will

[10:00] instantly get punished by players

[10:01] counter-strafing or dead-zoning. Also,

[10:03] your spray will be all over the place.

[10:05] If the enemies are more than 15 m away.

[10:07] Second is if you are actively pushing

[10:09] sites or playing retake. If you crouch

[10:11] in these situations, it's very easy for

[10:13] enemies to either trade each other or

[10:15] catch you off guard as they funnel in.

[10:16] Third is if you're holding a common

[10:18] angle. Most of the time you'll get flash

[10:20] or stunned, which means if you're

[10:21] already crouching, you'll have no time

[10:23] to reposition and un-peak instantly.

[10:25] Now, what are situations that crouching

[10:27] is actually good? First is during 1v1

[10:29] fights. By crouching into an isolated

[10:31] 1v1, you're able to throw off enemies

[10:33] crosshair placements, allowing you to

[10:35] win the fight much easier. However, make

[10:37] sure to only commit to the crouch when

[10:39] you are ready. And to know if you're

[10:40] ready, you just need to make sure you

[10:42] know your crosshair is on them, or if

[10:44] you tag them once in the body, and since

[10:46] their movement speed slows down

[10:47] drastically here, you finish with a

[10:49] crouch spray. Second is during micro

[10:51] peaks. All this means is to isolate your

[10:53] duels properly without making any sound

[10:55] and to catch them off guard. Now, with

[10:56] these micro peaks, we can actually add

[10:58] in crouching to throw off enemies

[11:00] crosshair placement while keeping the

[11:01] same movement speed. The trick to this

[11:03] is to not fully crouch, however, tap it

[11:06] so that we only go 50% of the way down.

[11:08] This is so we can keep the same benefits

[11:10] of crouching, but also keep our movement

[11:12] speed up and agility during the duel.

[11:14] Again, crouching is one of those skills

[11:16] that so many people seem to forget is

[11:18] actually good. But, the problem is many

[11:21] low-ranked players don't know how to

[11:23] abuse this. And the moment you're able

[11:25] to master the art of crouching, you'll

[11:27] end up reaching Immortal by the time

[11:28] summer break starts. If you want to rank

[11:30] up 300 RR guaranteed or your money back?
